Great post!! Thank you—I’m passing your thoughts on. I’m glad you are living in America.

In 1956, while traveling to Bogota, Colombia, our plane landed in Camaguey. I’ll never forget the view of the man in a donkey cart on the dirt lane below as we came in for the landing. The plane pulled up to what I remember as a straw hut—but it probably wasn’t!

We were startled to see a soldier standing beside the entrance, holding a gun with a bandolier? slung across his chest. It was very intimidating and a very frightening sight for a 23 year old young woman who grew up in a small town.

Your wise observations need to be passed on to as many people as possible—I’m sending them to all my friends!

Thank you very much. The documented and footnoted revelations in David’s book are startling, much like your experience in Camaguey. This election is too important to stand idly on the sidelines. I appreciate you sharing this information with your friends!
