This dude cannot "take it with him", where HE is going, eventually.
He might as well enjoy this earthly life for as long as he can, for as brief as it will be in the context of larger eternity.

The last Word on this immorality has not been uttered. We may battle against these principalities and powers in the here and now, and they may be rather formidable, but their whole flimsy stack of cards, based on a lie in contradiction to Natural Law and the Truth, will come crashing down some day.
Thanks for reminding us. It is easy to become demoralized after reading of the resources available to the wicked and their determination to use what they have to work against the righteous.
We need to walk in faith, like those held up as models in the great Hall of Faith Chapter in the Book of Hebrews.
We may not make it to that City of God described there, but we know it is there and we need to keep faith and hold it out for our descendents to keep as the goal.
