The Matthew 25 Network is a community of Christians Catholic, Protestant, Pentecostal, and Evangelical inspired by the Gospel mandate to put our faith into action to care for our neighbor, especially the most vulnerable.
The election of our public officials, and the politics they stand for, are a reflection of our core values. We believe that those elected to public office carry an important trust, as their decisions have a profound impact on our nation and our world.
We believe that people of faith should actively participate in the political process as an important avenue for social change. We are called by our faith to engage in the world as it is, while we seek after and hope for Gods Kingdom.
Therefore, while no elected official will be without flaw, we come together as individuals to support candidates for public office who share the values of the Matthew 25 Network: promoting life with dignity, caring for the least of these, strengthening and supporting families, stewardship of Gods Creation, working for peace and justice at home and abroad, and promoting the common good.
Watch the film.
They must of forgot Mathew 24
Pre-zot entrance. |
Wow. It is good that he has stayed with his family and, for the Dems, sometimes that can be a real sacrifice (Clinton, Edwards, Kennedy, etc.). That being said, he doesn’t stand up for ‘the least among us’, the unborn.
PS-Isn’t that the Pastor that married Jenna Bush and Henry Hagar?
Ahhhhh Barack Aborta......so much for caring for the least of these. What frauds.
Is this a Jim Wallace organization? If so, they probably believe the main and best way to help our less fortunate brethren is to make them all wards of an over-arching nanny state.
Please note this is NOT Mathew 25 Ministries, which truly does good for the world.
Both organizations strike me hippies that found Jesus...
Obama condones the killing of the unborn (and the newly born if they manage to survive). I think that goes just a bit past a “flaw”.
Yeah, take a look at their sister website, www.putawayfalsehoods.com. It’s an apologist site for Obama and it excuses him for him for his pro-abortion viewpoints.
There can be no social change without a change of heart. Evangelism is the work of the church. To be involved or interested in politics is an "extra-curricular" activity.
A Christian organization could not endorse a pro-infanticide candidate.
Whoops, someone left a "progressive" code-word in there.
I'm sure all this peace and love and common good will be underwritten by the taxpayers. So much for "charity."
God I can’t stand them. I learned about this Matthew 25 or whatever during my father funeral 3 years ago. My brother’s female friend attended and when the final time came to bid final look at my father here on Earth. I went over to my father’s casket and a cousin of mine slipped a baseball card of his under my father’s hand. So I pulled it out just to see it but then I felt something else. So I pulled that out and it was a round black button that you can pin to your clothes. On that button is said Matthew 25. Then that female came up and said “Oh, I place it in there”. Not knowing what it was, I let it go.
That same night, I was curious about this Matthew, and when I went to their site, I was just floored. That this woman had the audacity to place something political in my father’s casket. It was totally Socialist ideals. I never forgave her for that. She should have kept her dam politics out of people funerals. She then sent a Christmas Letter how bad the year was because my father passed away and then she goes on mention Jim Wallis. So yes - this group that claims to be Christian hold very deep socialistic views.
“We believe that people of faith should actively participate in the political process as an important avenue for social change.................working for peace and justice at home and abroad, and promoting the common good.”
These are the political-theological thought templates of Marxist “Christians” (so called “Christians”).
One need only ask, what would Yeshua be doing? Would he say to a crowd of believers: I want you to go obtain the power of the sword of Ceasar, demanding that that power be used to take from those that have too much to fund the benevolence that we want to do? I don’t think so. Yeshua did not believe that Ceasar (secular government) or his power should ever be used to take anything from the people, not even for the benevolent acts that we as Christians should do.
The Christian act of giving cannot be built on an act of taking, and socialism, in ALL it’s forms IS based on taking. It matters not if that taking is by “dictatorial” means or “democratic” means. Socialism is the forceful taking by some to pay for what those with the power to take want to do. There is NOTHING Christian about it.
What they FAIL to realize is that the dems are all talk. Their money all goes to leftisit organizations and the money never gets to the people who really need it. They look like big spenders for the downtrodden, when in reality, it all goes into the personal pockets of dictators and their thugs.
Most republican Christians give to Christian organizations that they know will get it right. We don’t have to brag about what we do, as God knows our hearts, and we leave the results to Him. If you choose organizations that have a good rating, you can be sure your money goes where it is intended. Not only that, but the local churches do unheralded work that would put many ‘organizations’ to shame.
