The ONLY lady I can see as truly a plus on the ticket would be Condi Rice.
Wouldn't a McCain/Rice ticket be grand?
Can't you see her debating Biden? Wow, would I pay to see that!

Then I think we should chatter “PALIN!” louder.

That pick doesn’t excite me. I hope he chooses more wisely.

Kay Baily Hutchinson leans toward pro choice. This will surely come out during the campaign.

And that matters excalty how?...... Name a few VP that have had influence over the abortion issue either via legislation or executive decree?

That said I hope that she isn’t the selection.

Believe it or not, there are other issues as important as the issue of the unborn child. Among them is the issue of the 38 Million illegals in the United States with more pouring into Texas every day. Kay Bailey has done very little to keep them out and, in fact, has done nothing postive about shutting down any part of the border between Mexico and Texas. She has some dirty laundry in the fundraising area and she is as RINO as they come. You might want to take a closer look at the other areas of her voting record. She and Cornyn vote opposite on many issues thereby canceling out the Texas vote. Texas suffers enough because of her - the other 49 states deserve better.

She has said that she does not want it. But then, so did Biden!

That might be the way to go! If he picks Romney, it could sink the ticket.

Chatter. Just chatter.

Love him or hate him, Mitt Romney is clearly the most competent person in many years to offer his services for the Presidency, even though he was spurned, for facetious reasons that had no basis in fact. It is time to cut the smart-aleck remarks, and get down to the real business of studying the POSITIVE aspects of what Mitt can bring to the table.

Business acumen. Impeccable personal life. Successful management of a most intractable sort of state government, wrangling concessions and creating workable compromises from a hostile legislature. And he has amassed a considerable fortune through his own initiative, a feat once regarded as the best of the American Dream.

Meh.

I like her and Palin well enough - but not for President.

Getting a woman for the sake of getting a woman is something liberals do.

http://www.issues2000.org/Social/Kay_Bailey_Hutchison_Abortion.htm

Hutchison scores 75% by the NRLC on abortion issues
OnTheIssues.org interprets the 2006 NRLC scores as follows:

0% - 15%: pro-choice stance (approx. 174 members)
16%- 84%: mixed record on abortion (approx. 101 members)
85%-100%: pro-life stance (approx. 190 members)

If it's Eric Cantor, I will cut the McCain campaign a check on the spot.

If it's anybody else, I will vote for them, but I will continue giving nothing to them or the RNC.

I’m not saying it is a smart move, or a winning strategy. I said that McCain sees a potential 18 million votes. He will need to get them somewhere.

Personally, I don’t even like McCain and don’t plan on voting for him. However, I do plan on voting AGAINST Obama.

Correct and obvious that McCain needs a younger one to balance Mitt would do since he has black hair and is energetic dynamic

Black hair doesn't erase the fact that 61 isn't a spring chick.

If McCain wins it will be because he has kept himself acceptable for those who want to vote against Obama—among both our base and moderates.

Lets admit that all John McCain's back stabbing and "reaching across the aisle" and his maverick image is paying off
All this garbage has positioned him perfectly to pick up Hillary voters and other liberal flotsam and jetsam

Palin has less than two years of experience running a state with less than one million population with totally different challenges than the lower 48.

Prior to her election as governor, Palin served two terms on the Wasilla City Council and two terms as the mayor/manager of Wasilla (As of the 2000 census, the population of the city was 5,470). During her tenure, she reduced property tax levels while increasing services and made Wasilla a business friendly environment, drawing in new industry.

Would work as well as nominating a black Republican for the US Senate in Maryland! Oh, wait...
