In a sane world, Crystal Mangum's forthcoming memoir would contain just two words: "I'm sorry."
Last Friday morning, I opened an email that contained a press release for a forthcoming book titled The Last Dance for Grace: The Crystal Mangum Story. Thinking it was an Internet hoax, I googled Crystal Mangum and found the story on WRAL.com. Sure enough, the infamous former stripper and prostitute, who falsely accused three Duke University lacrosse players of gang-raping and beating her in a bathroom, was writing her memoirs:....

I guess it’s a little much to expect shame from a lying whore.
This b!tch and her co-criminal Mike Nifong both deserve life in prison.
You might want to ping the list.
I wonder how her book sales will compare to Nancy Pelosi’s?
Several local bookstores are lining up to sell it.
The “other side” of the story and all that drivel.

Isn’t their a law saying you can’t break the law and then make money writing a book about it?
Sounds like a Lifetime movie.
Is it too late to prosecute her?
This is what we call “libel” - but not in a world where liberals rule...
This girl was walking around in circles on the street around midnight with no idea who she was or where she came from and was in danger of being tossed in the funny farm on a permanent basis, and cried “rape” as a last ditch idea. In a story with no shortage of villains however, the biggest villain in the entire picture was the ordinary little idiot living in and around Durham NC who voted to re-elect the Fong in November of 06 after the basic reality of the story was known to the entire world. That is inexcusable. When the town/gown situation gets that bad, the only rational solution is for the school to find a better town. Duke would have to pack up and move before I’d want to go to school there.
If there isn’t such a law there should be.
The accused guys should immediately sue her, if they can, for damages and their legal fees, etc. Then, if possible, get a court order that profits from the book have to satisfy that judgement. She has no business trying to make money off her pathetic attempt to accuse innocent people.
What have Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson said about this?
That only applies to Males who commit crimes. </s>
Even if that law applies for an unindicted person, I would be willing to bet that just before the first dime is paid the lawyers for the accused players will be perched on the court room steps yelling gimme.
I'm sure it is already in the works. Halle Berry to start as "Crystal".
I want to know why she is not in prison
Perhaps they can box it up with Pelosi’s book, as a matched set for bird owners.
I live in this pit of a place. Not for much longer, happily.
