IF JOHN MCCAIN becomes president, he will be confronted by a Congress with significantly larger Democratic majorities than today's

Schwarzenegger will not be addressing the GOP Convention on Labor Day because he is “concentrating” on budget negotiations with the California Legislature.

These partisan idiots at the Oakland Tribune act like it’s a Democrat rite of passage to have big congressional election sweeps. The last one in 2006 was huge. You don’t get electoral tidal waves every two years. Eventually the pendulum swings back.

California Republicans ... have bleaker prospects today than when they plighted their troth to the action hero who says: "Look, I cut to the chase. I know what the Democrats like, and I know what the Republicans like. So, I say let's meet somewhere in the middle." But Gov. Weather Vane, as the Orange County Register calls him, usually finds the middle in the middle of the Democrats' legislative caucus.

Will nailed it. Reaching across the aisle to join with liberals in advancing their agenda.

These partisan idiots at the Oakland Tribune ...

Ya ever heard of George Will?

Hint: not a partisan and not at the Oakland Tribune.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: electability be damned. But even when I was mourning over the results that put him in office (oh, how easily McClintock would have made it if everyone who “wished he could be elected” had just voted for him) I never imagined it could be this bad.
Just another stunning example of how much more harm RINOs can do than most Democrats.

FWIW - my wife and I NEVER consider California as a vacation destination.

I REFUSE! to give any money to that socialist state.

Frankly, all the auto manufacturers should stop selling cars to California until they repeal their ‘CARB’ and similar standards.

“If McCain becomes the president...” it will be purely by accident. Issue after issue has been thrown into the lap of the once heroic maverick of the mainstream media. Yet from the Messiah’s refusal to drill for oil, to his breathtaking embrace of infanticide, the republican party’s latest White House seeking traitor to conservatism has failed to cash in. Did McCain make a photo-a-plenty entrance into the House of Representatives to bring a little MSM recognition to republicans demanding that this nation drill for its own oil and natural gas? No. Too pedestrian, I guess. Did the campaign hammer home the fact that leftist dems owe more to environmental donors than to the American public? Nope. Too busy making “funny” ads about Paris Hilton. Have Obama’s incredible attempts to silence free speech been presented to voters? Has anything been said about his votes in favor of allowing infants to die...refusing them medical care? Oh goodness no. Why, that might be viewed as offensive. Or, gasp, racist. And today being VP anouncement day, I’ll almost guarantee McCain will pick someone with whom the MSM will have a field day. Yes, I know it would happen even if McCain picked Jesus Christ. But he will add to the attack fest by supplying a poor choice. So if the media is weeping come Nov, it won’t be due to its lack of effort in supporting the Obamessiah. Neither will it have anything to do with the strong showing made by McCain. Obamas Manchurian candidate status will have simply been too clear for far too many voters.
