oops, getting tired - buld = bulb...
need some sleep.
Boy do I agree. Whenever I talk to someone who has a legal degree, they have for some reason lost their common sense.
I believe most of our Founding Fathers were lawyers, but they understood the Constitution and justice back then. There should be a moratorium on lawyers running for office, not forever, just until other occupations and professions have served.
I’m a lawyer ... and I agree with you completely. It’s a cliche in the profession that lawyers are poor managers. (It’s a cliche because it’s true.)
I’ve had the same experience in my business and personal life. Many lawyers pick things apart rather than lead with confidence and thoughtful consideration. Some have the ability to come up with agreements in which nobody is happy and justice isn’t served. Everyone but the lawyers is burned out on the process, and somehow can tolerate the solution enough to get on with life. It’s certainly not work that I’d find satisfying. I’ve met very few lawyers whom I’d trust to lead any enterprise.
The Dems had a big conspiracy to overthrow the Man, and gathered together in a mob. "First thing we do, we'll all become lawyers!", a demagogue shouted.
Confusion reigned.
If you had to pick one profession to run your country, the last one I’d pick is the one America has picked to run Congress and, more of late, the White House. How come we never hear demagoguery against Big Law?
YEP...I’ve been thinking this all day.....the LAST thing we need are TWO lawyers running this country.....(Obama/Biden). I used to do lots of interviewing.....everytime I interviewed people who worked in law offices....they were NOT happy with the lawyer MANAGEMENT....Attorney firms (I’ve heard) are notoriously bad at management - they don’t follow rules, and, are, well...you figure it out....A*******
You do know the reason for the Jury in the Courtroom, don’t you?
No?
If you took all of the lawyers and laid them end-to-end they still wouldn’t reach a decision !!
