Our son is 13 years old. He has known, since kindergarten, that when he turns 18 he will be OUT of this house and into college or the military and on with his life. Me and his daddy got some things we want to catch up on.
i couldn’t wait to get out!
Our son went to school on NROTC. He just left for his first underway to the Persian Gulf. I think the military is tough, but it is a good way for boys to become men. Oh, and he got married in June to a lovely gal. Both are Christian and churchgoers, don’t get me wrong-they party, too. V’s wife.
Keep it up, I had the same rule for my son and he is soon to be a Phd.
amen. i raised 2 boys and made sure that both of them knew that i intended to “break their plate” as soon as they graduated from high school if they were not involved in and making decent grades in higher education. They are both in their 40s now and i am very proud of how both of them. Since becoming adults, they have never had to ask for help.
LOL! I have an 18 month old and one due in November, and it's feeling like a looooooong 18 years ahead of us! :P
