Exactly what problem does this cause for Sarah Palin?

She'll expend valuable time talking about this and NOT about real issues. You don't see that as a problem? You think there's lots of time before the election?

Grow up.

Wow, so sorry I have an opinion. I guess I'll check with you next time before posting.

I accept your apology.
I will get around to approving your comments as my schedule and interest permit.

It’s a minor problem. They should have announced this when McCain was considering her rather than letting it come out now. Having said that, it does indeed depend on how Palin handles it. They could easily have covered this up by killing the child, but they didn’t, even with a potential national political debut coming up. That says something very nice about their character. They don’t see the baby as a punishment and abortion as the Obama-style cure.

It does present a problem, but abortion is a real issue so it presents an opportunity also. She can move the conversation to responsibility over convenience and unconditional love of our children in a way a man could not.

It is also another landmine laid out by the McCain campaign because the more they attack her and the degree to which they attack her will move more women to vote for the GOP ticket.

I hate to say that I agree with you. We need to not be so naive that we think this is a plus for Palin or McCain.

I am not going to post what I know where they will go with this, but if you think about it, it will not be pleasant.

I find it hard to believe McCain knew about this. If he did...well....good luck.

I am not casting any stones to Palin and her family. I have a son who is an unwed Dad too. Only thing is, not too many care what we do.

I would have never chosen this for the Palin's HOWEVER, this does present itself as an opportunity to differentiate the Republican ticket from the Obama/whatshisname ticket.

Obama aid he would chose abortion as a solution for this situation for his daughters.

I would have never chosen this for the Palin's, but all in all I think this will turn out to be a net benefit to the McCain/Palin ticket.
