JOHN McCAIN WHERE ARE YOU???
Vetting Sarah Palin.
As much as it pains me I’m beginning to believe he really blew this one and along with it his chances to get elected!
Like most freepers, my first instinct after some of this crap started coming out was to come to the defense of Palin and McCain. Now it’s becoming more and more obvious by the hour that McCain did not vet Palin. Worse yet is the coverup underway for this unforgivable negligence. There’s just too much smoke.
And this is excrutiatingly hard to stomach.
I was so proud to have two principled people heading our ticket, and now it looks like we may very likely have two liars - please god let me be wrong!!
I am really quite offended and disappointed by your response.
This is EXACTLY how the left took down Newt Gingrich.
Did you notice “UPDATE #3”
That explained the pictures are NOT of Bristol Palin.
It’s just a lie to grab “Google” hits.
Slap yourself twice and throw a little water in your face. Then have your ladies' maid get you a cup of tea.
Easy now. Read the NY Times article; it’s bad but not as bad as the excerpted parts you read at your link.
As a civil nation, we should see such pregnancies as a gift and not a way to denigrate young people for their biological mistakes.
I wonder if this hysteria is meat to deflect the problems with Sen. Joe Biden’s family? A son and a brother of Sen. Joseph R. Biden Jr. (D-Del.), Democratic Vice-Presidential candidate, are accused in two lawsuits of defrauding a former business partner and an investor of millions of dollars in a suspect hedge fund deal that went sour.
We also wonder about Biden’s son Beau who set up the arrest of Larry Sinclair to shut him up.
I'm just wondering . . .
God has answered your prayer: you are wrong.
As for the New York Times article you linked to (hint:The New York Times?), See this link.
AND GET A GRIP!
Don’t give into their lies and slander. If you research any of their claims there is usually little or nothing of substance to it. The website you linked to is fiercely partisan and has had it in for Sarah Palin and social conservatives from the beginning.
You believe the NYT?????????
Gee... quote a blog with links to gay dating and donate to BHO...
Are you serious? Do you even have a clue of what the media is trying to do here and how little they actually have to work with? The McCain campaign has said it vetted Palin. Do you really think issues such as the claim Palin was raising her daughters Down baby should be a consideration? And do you ACTUALLY think if it got out, and it would have, that McCain TURNED DOWN a woman for his VP because her daughter was pregnant, the shit storm wouldn’t have been 1000 times worse? Imagine the slime media shrieking the “SEXIST” and OUT OF TOUCH” McCain disqualifies a woman for the job of VP because he finds her “morally” lacking? And why is she morally lacking? Why because her DAUGHTER has gotten pregnant!! It would be a field day for the left wing loonies and would KILL any chance McCain had of keeping the feminine vote.
I am constantly amazed at how the people here and on other forums I frequent claim to KNOW the media is full bore liberal and in the tank TOTALLY for Hussein and yet seem to take as gospel every single negative they put out about a Republican. What the hell did you expect them to say about her? She is their WORST nightmare and they are trying to destroy her by any and all means they can think of. The stink of desperation pervades all they are doing here and if you cannot see that then you simply are not looking. You also appear to believe the American people are so utterly stupid that all of them will simply nod their heads and accept as truth whatever the hate spewers puke up for public consumption.
Get a grip.
From what I've read, from McCain himself, and from his aides, she came clean with all these issues. NONE of them have anything to do with her effectiveness as Veep, so McCain chose her for the parts of her life that are relevant.
All of the rumors, and stories are nothing but either outright lies, or calumny; truth used as a weapon. I believe McCain understands that, and at this point, I wonder if the Republicans and conservatives pushing for her to remove herself from contention are those whose favorite candidate wasn't chosen.
