Freepers, I humbly submit this night the first song parody I have ever had the courage to share on FR.
Tonight Sarrahcuda impreseed the h3ll outta me. Like many of you other crusty big nard-nosed buys, when she spoke I cried. Clarity! Conviction! and without apologetics! We have needed her for a long, long, time.
but...
I should preface this with a few words. I am a lifelong musician and writing parodies is one of my personal pleasures. I almost never share them. There is MUCH more that could be said in this song volumes more that could be said about Sarah and the forces which we must defeat if our Nation is to survive another decade. It is not my goal, however, in writing a parody, to exhaust the topic in the space of one song. It is rather my goal to make the parody as musically clean as possible when compared directly with the original, and then secondarily to deliver the message in a way as meaningful as possible. A well-written parody could be sung easily to the original soundtrack so that someone who isnt really paying much attention might miss it altogether. To that end, I try to preserve the length or the piece, the rhythm of the lyrtics, and the most important high points and signature-hook moments. Every tiny way in which the parody deviates from the original reduces its sort of cleverness factor. In fact my proudest parody is one in which all through the entire first verse I only changed ON E word from the original, and it cast the entire verse into a WHOLE me meaning. (it was in the last line,t oo.. so it was a major surprise.
Anyway, with that, I encourage you to go lookup the Heart lyrics and stack them up to these. FRiends, I hope at the least that some of you are mildly amused by my latest work, Sarrahcuda
No this ain't the end, well see you again in fact I think youll win our nation back A smile like the Sun, youve only begun its true, weve put our faith in you
They will lie about you through their teeth CBS, CNN, ABC But youll have them down, down, down, down on their knees Now, won't you? Sarrahcuda!

Sorry, I thought I’d have a chance to edit.
Here it is with proper spacing:

I love it. I have been singing Barracuda in my head all night long. Now I can replace the words.
I love Sarracuda. I spell it Saracuda though.
Last night was the best night politics has ever seen. It is going to be a great couple of months and Saracuda is going to be our VP. Oh yeah and we will have President John McCain.
Think (think) think (think) think (think)
think (think) think (think) think (think)
You better think (think) think about what you’re trying to do to me
Yeah, think (think, think), let your mind go, let yourself be free
Let’s go back, let’s go back, let’s go way on back when
I didn’t even know you, you came to me and too much you wouldn’t take
I ain’t no psychiatrist, I ain’t no doctor with degree
It don’t take too much high IQ’s to see what you’re doing to me
You better think (think) think about what you’re trying to do to me
Yeah, think (think, think), let your mind go, let yourself be free
Oh freedom (freedom), freedom (freedom), freedom, yeah freedom
Freedom (freedom), freedom (freedom), freedom, ooh freedom
There ain’t nothing you could ask I could answer you but I won’t (I won’t)
I was gonna change, but I’m not, to keep doing things I don’t
You better think (think) think about what you’re trying to do to me
Yeah, think (think, think), let your mind go, let yourself be free
People walking around everyday, playing games that they can score
And I ain’t gonna be the loser my way, ah, be careful you don’t lose yours
You better think (think) think about what you’re trying to do to me
Yeah, think (think, think), let your mind go, let yourself be free
You need me (need me) and I need you (don’t you know)
Without each other there ain’t nothing people can do
Oh freedom (freedom), freedom (freedom), freedom, yeah freedom
Freedom (freedom), freedom (freedom), freedom, ooh freedom
There ain’t nothing you could ask I could answer you but I won’t (I won’t)
I was gonna change, but I’m not, if you’re doing things I don’t
You better think (think) think about what you’re trying to do to me
Yeah, think (think, think), let your mind go, let yourself be free
You need me (need me) and I need you (don’t you know)
Without each other there ain’t nothing people can do
(To the bone for deepness, to the bone for deepness, to the bone for deepness, think about it)
You had better stop and think before you think, think!!
With everything else from a great evening, I thought this was the "Class Act" of the night.
I was so pleased to find this most endearing picture from last evening's great meeting. Thanks for posting it, which I here repeat. I just love it and it is not staged but just a total wonderful reaction of a mother for a child. Love it.
Only mothers know how to hold children like that and love it. She's my First Lady, if I can do anything about it:
Ze-ro! Ze-ro! Ze-ro!
You should share your creations on FR more often! Awesome!
