Poor Meredith Viera. While interviewing McCain campaign manager Steve Schmidt this morning she kept asking why the press isn't liked. Schmidt answered firmly, noting that pointed questions were focused at Palin and McCain while hinting the Obama doesn't receive the same harsh treatment. Maybe the MSM is finally getting the picture.

Especially the executives at “60 Minutes” who fired her when she got pregnant.

Doubtful. The DBM has invested much of its reputation and credibility by siding with the left. Meredith is just unhappy that because they have abdicated their journalistic "standards" and impartiality, they aren't greeted like the rock stars of American Idol.
Suck it up, Meredith. When you sleep with dogs, there's a good possibility that you will wake up with fleas.
I can guarantee you that if Gov. Sarah Palin presented a fake BC for any of her family members they'd be up in arms and camping out on her doorstep and none of them are running for anything.
Obama is running for the most powerful position on the planet and nothing.

The MSM is the real train wreck in this election. They need to sit down in a chair and be forced to watch themselves. Ones needs ipecac syrup before viewing.
Their careers are destroyed and they are left exposed with no credibility left at all.

Yes Ms. Viera we hate the MSM.
BTW When they got back to base several "misguided" Marines told the reporter his tour was over and that he needed to leave. They made him get his own transportation and security. The unit Colonel never allowed another MSM reporter on the base. Semper Fidelis.
I was watching that, and Schmidt shut her up with his final response (paraphrasing) “An anchor from your own network asked if Gov. Palin should be running for Vice President if she has a Down’s Syndrome baby.”
I was stunned. Meredith ended the interview at that point with no further comment.
Who was the anchor (Brian Williams, Tom Brokaw?), and was it on NBC or PMSBC that this was supposedly said?

Shortly afterwards, Greenfield mentioned McCain's speech. Imus pulled him up short and said (I'm still paraphrasing):
Imus: Why do you guys in the press always diminish Palin's speech? You were at pains to say that she didn't write it.
Greenfield: No, I didn't.
Imus: Yes, you did. You specifically said that it was written by a professional speechwriter.
Greenfield: So? Everyone uses a speechwriter. Everyone knows that.
Imus: But you only mention it with Palin. You just mentioned John McCain's speech and you didn't say he used a speechwriter, but you know he did.
Greenfield: Of course. They all do. Washington used Hamilton. Kennedy used Sorenson.
Imus: But why make a big deal out of it with Palin?
Greenfield: I didn't!
Imus: You inferred it.
Greenfield: There was no inference!
The Liberals in press tell lies and will not back down even when called on it. That's why we hate them.
