WASHINGTON, D.C. -- The main reason I am writing this column is that many people have asked me how I first realized I was suffering from a brain tumor and what I have done about it.

But I also want to relate the reaction to my disease, mostly compassionate, that belies Washington's reputation.

When Zelda said to call 911, I again resisted, but she again prevailed. I promptly suffered another seizure in the ambulance, the second of three seizures that day. I gained admittance to the high-quality Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, which has an excellent oncology staff. A biopsy was performed, which showed a large, grade IV tumor. In answer to my question, the oncologist estimated that I had six months to a year to live. Being read your death sentence is like being a character in one of the old Bette Davis movies.

This is Bob Novak's first column since he announced his retirement due to a brain tumour. It appears that he has the same sort of 4th stage malignant tumour as my late wife.

I was never a big Novak fan but this is just terrible. These tumors are virtually always fatal. My best wishes for him and his family.

Three things I would do right now:

1) Alkaline his body to 7.4 constantly
2) Oxygen - “Opaline Oxy”
3) Clean Colon and Enzymes

I would not lay down and die, and I would not do chemo and there other stuff.

Oh, this is really sad. He's a good journalist, one of the few remaining of an endangered species.

I remember you mentioning your wife's brain tumor on another thread, and am very sorry for your loss.

I have always been a fan of the “Price of Darkness”. He is one of the few reaming true journalists, someone who will never print a story unless it is actually true, and I am hoping he beats cancer one more time.
