Does the Angry Left really want to launch a culture war over Sarah Palin? Fine. Lock and load.
That's the feeling of many conservatives who until last week were lukewarm at best about the prospect of a John McCain presidency. The unhinged malice of the cultural left's assault on the Alaska governor's personal life has focused their minds and stirred their hearts. Ms. Palin's astonishingly poised and confident performance in her convention speech proves that this Iron Lady is not about to quail before the judgment of her would-be betters.
Neither will conservatives. If they were indifferent or hostile to the Republican ticket, the cultural elite's savage treatment of Ms. Palin reminded them of what's really in play this year. It's the same snarling spite for small-town folks, religious believers and anybody else who ended up on the wrong side of the 1960s.
Why does the Angry Left hate Sarah Palin? Because of the potentially transformative power of her example.

If it was the same old GOP, it deserved to lose this November. Sarah Palin has instead, thanks to the vicious attacks on her from the deranged Left and its media amen chorus, given the conservative base plenty of reason to fight for the newest conservative face of the party.

It looks like a straight-shooting, churchgoing populist married to a union man. It looks like a mom standing on stage before a national audience, with her handicapped infant resting on her shoulder, unbowed and triumphant. It looks like a family faithful to its members in their weakness and failure one that does the right thing by its own, even if it's the hard thing. Powerful words. Nice article.

Sarah Palin is shaking the Democratic leftist-liberal house to its foundation, and bringing it down. She and her family, their faith, their values, and their story represent the absolute refutation of all the tired old liberal mantras and victimology that they malignantly use to mentally, pshycologically, and financially enslave whole classes of people.
From women's rights, to family values, to gun rights, to abortion, to energy policy, to taxation, to envrionmentalism, and on and on...she is a wrecking ball to the leftist, liberal, socialist house.

There is nothing more important than family. The left has awaken a sleeping giant by going after Palins family. I hope they go down in flames!

Doesn't matter. This stuff needs to be posted and reposted so that the message gets out. We have to keep hitting back because the opposition is not going to back off.
They will do everything in their power to destroy this woman and all of us, if they can.
So, stand up and fight and be counted.

I was gonna sit out this election... but she's the one who changed my mind about voting this year. That and the attacks from the deranged Left are going to get me to cast my ballot!

She's a fighter, this one. And worth fighting for. Come what may in November, we now know what the future of the GOP and the conservative movement looks like.Hear! Hear! Any you will find just as many GOP men as women doing that.

That makes two of us.
I was depressed about the possibility that, for the first time since I started voting for Presidential candidates in 1980, I was gonna sit this one out.
But not now, even if I have to crawl over hot coals to get to the polls.

Interesting choice of a phrase, sleepng giant. Liberal Andrew Coyne wrote on MacCleans after the speech that the left had piled on too hard and too fast. He said as he watched the scene during and after the speech that the words of Adm Yammamoto after Dec 7 rang in his head
“AllI fear we have done is awaken a sleeping giant and fill him with a terrible resolve.”

Gov Palin is a competitor. The MSM ridicule her at their own expense. My experience with my son and daughter has been that competition between females is much more about mental and emotional control than physical strength. Whether basketball or beauty pageant, women are just down right nasty to each other. And if you blink or back down you lose.
The good governor is not a loser and will be ready for whatever is thrown at her. Count on it.

I can wash out 44 pairs of socks and have ‘em hangin out on the line
I can starch & iron 2 dozens shirts ‘fore you can count from 1 to 9
I can scoop up a great big dipper full of lard from the drippins can
Throw it in the skillet, go out & do my shopping, be back before it melts in the pan
‘Cause I’m a woman! W-O-M-A-N, I’ll say it again
I can rub & scrub this old house til it’s shinin like a dime
Feed the baby, grease the car, & powder my face at the same time
Get all dressed up, go out and swing til 4 a.m. and then
Lay down at 5, jump up at 6, and start all over again
‘Cause I’m a woman! W-O-M-A-N, I’ll say it again
If you come to me sickly you know I’m gonna make you well
If you come to me all hexed up you know I’m gonna break the spell
If you come to me hungry you know I’m gonna fill you full of grits
If it’s lovin you’re likin, I’ll kiss you and give you the shiverin’ fits
‘Cause I’m a woman! W-O-M-A-N, I’ll say it again
I can stretch! a green black dollar bill from here to kindom come!
I can play the numbers pay the bills and still end up with some!
I got a twenty-dollar gold piece says there ain’t nothing I can’t do
I can make a dress out of a feed bag and I can make a man out of you
‘Cause I’m a woman! W-O-M-A-N, I’ll say it again
‘Cause I’m a woman! W-O-M-A-N, and that’s all.
Need to add running Alaska, blowing away the country with a perfect speech despite a broken teleprompter....she’s incredible!.
