Michelle Obama absent from 9/11 ceremony to be home with girls for 1st week of school. But...
WSBT ^

Posted on 09/11/2008 11:33:54 PM PDT by IDRATHERNOT

Conspiciously absent from September 11th memorial service, the Obama campaign claimed Michelle Obama was home with her children for the 1st week of school. However, on Sep. 10th, she spent most of the day at a "Working Mothers" roundtable in Fishers, Indiana (a 3.5 hour drive from Chicago).
FISHERS, Ind. — More evidence Indiana is in play this presidential election year: the Obama campaign focused on the state again Wednesday. This time it was Michelle Obama, right in the heart of Republican territory.

The only reference (beyond FR) is from the Hillary forum, from a poster who heard him say it during his appearance at the 9/11 forum with McCain. I did find this while googling for information:

Democrat Presidential frontrunner Senator Barack Obama has responded to a question posed by an Infowars reader regarding government complicity in the September 11th 2001 terrorist attacks.

Three months after the reader sent Obama a correspondence outlining her great concern that criminal elements of the government were directly complicit in the attacks, the Senator sent the following response via email, which was then forwarded to us:

Dear Penny:

Thank you for contacting me regarding your belief that the U.S. government was complicit in the terror attacks of September 11, 2001. I appreciate hearing your passionate views on this matter.

While I do not believe the U.S. government was complicit in the attacks, I do think it should be held accountable for the unacceptable mistakes it made in the run-up to that terrible day. The blunders that occurred prior to the 2001 attacks were inexcusable and often outrageous. The series of clear warnings about the potential use of hijacked planes as weapons is just one example of why the “surprise” of 9/11 should have been anticipated. In my view, proof of government complicity is not necessary when making the argument that the U.S. should accept some responsibility for what happened on 9/11.

Thank you again for writing.

Sincerely,

Barack Obama
United States Senator

I really appreciate you taking the time to look for that. I’ve seen that email. I was living in Oregon on 9/11. I remember when Gordon Smith spoke - it’s easy to find what he said the day following. It’s virtually impossible to find anything until 10 days out or so from Obama, and I just find that strange.

I’m guessing the thought of having to hang out around that many American flags might just about make her throw up on her oh-so-fashionable shoes.

"Let’s not lose sight of the fact she is our CANDIDATE for veep, not the spouse of one, please."

True ---- but to ignore the unavoidable comparisons of the three woman and their route to public attention and their individual accomplishments as women is impossible.

On whichever level one wishes to make comparison --- Michelle Obama is clearly outclassed and playing in the wrong league...

The fawning media has gone overboard attempting to sell Michelle as the new Jackie "O"......while at the same time broadcasting all the filth the Leftists can dredge up or invent about Sarah or Cindy McCain....

In reality - Michelle wouldn't amount to more than a pimple on the ass of Jackie "O", Mrs. Palin or Mrs. McCain...

That is why we shall see less of Mrs. Obama..

Her absence is easily explained: I sincerely believe she was happy on 9/11 and is probably too full of herself to even go through the pretense of honoring the victims. I didn’t think it would be possible, but I do believe a woman has emerged who is more of a scourge on this country than Hillary.

...and why does she always look like she’s angry....

Probably because she is actually angry. Scary-looking woman if you ask me. I guess it's obligatory for the press to call her attractive. To me she isn't, but it's in the eye of the beholder, I'm told .

Cindy McCain was at Ground Zero...Laura Bush was at the Pentagon...where was Michelle? I think her absense was DOWNRIGHT MEAN!!!

Makes me wonder if she didn’t come to NY and ground zero NOT only because her lack of patriotism but maybe has something to do with Obamas meeting with Clinton. You think? Everyone thinks she had a lot to do with why Obama did not pick Hil.....and if this is true. Meeting with Bill would not have made her day. Can you imagine what kind of “first lady” she would have been? God help us...

I agree with you about Michelle . My husband always say, someone touched her with a ugly stick.
From my point of view- she wears ugly clothes her dresses are just plain horrible.

I saw the officer give John & Cindy a pin while BO was looking on when Cindy was pinned.
I have heard not a word on the news regarding the type of pin . It is hush, hush in the news.

I posted a reply which disappeared into the ether.
Let’s try again.
It’s difficult to find anything from Obama’s “early days”. Large parts of college are blank, thesis is nowhere either, correct? Meanwhile they are turning over rocks in Alaska looking for anything on Palin. Obama is a complete fabrication. It’s very frustrating.

Yes, of course, there is something genuine about the Obamas. Their lives are comfortable in Chicago. They have powerful jobs and employ others to take care of the mundane issues of home life. They are genuinely comfortable.
