McCain gets grilled on The View
CNN ^

Posted on 09/12/2008 10:49:44 AM PDT by Chet 99

(CNN) – When John McCain agreed to appear on the day-time talk fest known as The View, he may not have been expecting too many hard-hitting questions.

But the Arizona senator was aggressively pressed on VP candidate Sarah Palin's qualifications to be vice president, as well as his new negative campaign ads that several independent fact-checks have called downright misleading.

Co-host Barbara Walters immediately asked McCain about a remark he’d made that Palin might just make the greatest vice president, asking, "that's not a little strong?"

I don’t know which is more biased...the “grilling” he got on The View or the CNN article covering it.

I agree. There is nothing to be gained by appearing on fluff shows. It diminishes us.

We are the serious, corporate, law-abiding adult party, and the Dems are the celebrity-driven, unemployed, drunken whore party.

Here is a liberal woman arguing against the idea of a woman who "might just make the greatest vice president".

Ambush? More like a front row seat to watch the press shoot themselves in the foot.

Thank You Chet, YES!! What are they thinking going on these stupid shows? If they are hoping to bring these moonbats over to our side? Someone please tell them “That ship has sailed” Hasselhoff is the only one on the View with a modicum of decency.

McCain did GREAT! Just watched it on Youtube - Whoopie said she isn’t sure what century we’re in, Bobwa Wawa looked like a dope; McCain was relaxed and handled all the questions politely and respectfully. He actually got some applause (as did the ladies) but it was pretty interesting.

The cheap shot at the end came right before they signed of and Bobwa Wawa said, “Tell Sarah to come on the show, tell her how nice we were and how easy our questions were.” Like Sarah couldn’t handle it otherwise. Though, they tried very hard to trip up McCain.

"She sold the airplane at a loss," an unrelenting Walters interrupted.

Baabaa the plane was not needed to maintain or fly. It did not produce any profit. It was a drag on the Alaskan budget, an unnecessary cost to state tax payers.

Baabaa, why are you stupid?

If that's the case, someone on Team McCain is dangerously stupid.

Whoopie, the deep thinker, says Constitutionalists judges are going to bring back slavery.

He should have done as Mrs.Obama had done. Make a list of the only questions you are allowed to ask while you are on.

Our side appearing on these stupid shows indicates that we are not afraid to speak up even if they are ambushes. Why doesn’t Oprah want Gov. Palin on her show? She is afraid of what the outcome would be. The left has a severe case of PMS (Palin Misery Syndrome). No Midol for them!

They weren’t “hard hitting” questions - they were stupid questions asked by very stupid people. Whoopi Goldberg even suggested that McCain would make her a slave with her Supreme Court appointments.

But that’s where the new voters are.

The people who watch these shows are already in Obama’s camp. If you do nothing they’ll vote for Obama.

There’s little risk that McCain will lose votes by appearing because his camp doesn’t watch these shows.

There’s some chance that some lefty will see something they like. Especially if they’re on the fence.

Who knows why anyone would vote for Obama anyway. I’d never vote for him. He makes McCain look like a great choice (I wouldn’t have chosen McCain as the Presidential nominee).

You just never know.

I’d like to see Blabwa sell her used car for a profit. What a dimwit. “REFORM WHAT?” Obviously Blabwa think’s Washington doesn’t need reforming. Just put Democrats in all the public offices and things will run smoothly.

When Obama is on they have to lay down slobber mats to keep it off the floor.

I wouldn’t waste my time watching another show with one token Conservative that gets yelled down by four leftists day after day after day. This isn’t the View. It’s the Spew.

"You bring us Sarah Palin and we'll ask Obama," Walters quipped.

Can she submit an off limits question list too Baabaa?

Someone needs to tell the idiots who insult Palin for selling the plane at a loss, that an airplane is an asset that depreciates in value; it’s not like a fine piece of art. Why would it have sold for more than they bought it for unless they had a crooked deal with the buyer?

Someone should check into that Democratic governor who’s going around boasting about a big profit on the sale of his plane. Wonder what the book value on his plane was?
