Rassmussen : South Dakota McCain by 17% 54/37

In South Dakota, John McCain has opened a seventeen point lead over Barack Obama. The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds McCain with 54% of the vote and Obama with 37% (see crosstabs).
Thats a big change from July when the Democrat had pulled to within four points in this traditionally Republican state. In March, McCain led Obama by ten.
A similar pattern was found in the neighboring states of Montana and North Dakota. All three were mentioned as part of Obamas effort to expand the Electoral College map but McCain has now opened a double digit lead in all three.

Obama earns positive reviews from 47%, down seven points since July.
Alaska Governor Sarah Palin is viewed favorably by 62% while 41% say the same about Barack Obamas running mate, Delaware Senator Joe Biden.
Fifty-nine percent (59%) say that McCain made the right choice in picking Palin for the Republican ticket. Just 32% say that Obama made the right choice.
Seventy-eight percent (78%) say that Palin is politically conservative while 52% say that Biden is politically liberal.

A pattern in need of “change”. SD congressional delegation 2/3’s democrat. ND at least that much, and I haven’t checked MT.

I wish McCain was leading by 17 points in California, Illinois, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Florida, Wisconsin, New Jersey, New York, Iowa and Virginia.
Now THAT would be sweet! Liberal heads would explode from coast to coast.

I still think it will be a close election, but it’s good to see that the Dakotas, Montana, Nebraska, Kansas, etc. seem safe. If Obama had made inroads in some of the “red” states, McCain would have been in big trouble.
Instead McCain seems to be nailing down the red state base. Maybe some “blue” states will switch sides. Michigan, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania seem ripe for the picking. If McCain can pick up some of these states, then it’s Obama who is in serious trouble.

It sure is. Search Google Images for “jump the shark” and you’ll pull up the original shot of Fonzie.

Wisconsin is a 50-50 state that has two hotbeds of socialism (Madison and Milwaukee). Unfortunately, the Dem Machine really “gets out the vote” (Chicago-style) in both towns.
Sarah Palin will appeal to the “niceness” factor that is important in Cheeseland. Her Wisconsin accent will help. I also suspect that the libertarians in Wisconsin will find her appealing.
My bet is that McCain/Palin take Wisconsin 53-47.

McCain is leading by 6 points in Ohio. I've been at his phone center here, and since the convention, the voters have changed their minds. Many are undecided or voting for him and Palin. Even blacks are changing their votes to McPalin.
Just wait; when election day is here, they will win by a much bigger margin.

Wish there was some way you could go on Rush's show, or Mark Levin's show and let Rush and his audience hear that.
Maybe you can write to Rush or Mark and ask them if you could call and tell them that on their show or other media outlets.
There has got to be more people who have the same testimony of what you are saying and witnessing.... we can't let the MSM railroad us and tell the nation that it is not so of what you are saying or that Obama still hold's his base support together.

North Dakota is worse, 100% rodent. They haven’t elected a GOP Senator since 1980 and a Congressmember since 1978 (the same person).
