THE STAR TREATMENT Actress Janeane Garofalo: Jail all Republicans Activist says GOP 'small-minded,' only Democrats 'decent'
The latest "Real Time with Bill Maher" show erupted into a vicious 4-against-1 bashfest of conservative columnist John Fund and Republicans in general, culminating in one left-leaning guest on the panel calling for all Republicans to be "jailed."
From the start of the HBO show, Hollywood activist Janeane Garofalo, a Barack Obama supporter, expressed agitation over the overnight national popularity of GOP vice presidential nod Gov. Sarah Palin, who has helped running mate John McCain pull within the statistical margin of error of Obama in many polls.
Garofalo ridiculed her as an empty pantsuit who lacks a firm grasp of the issues.
Fund defended Palin and her experience and warned that such Palin-bashing will only create a backlash in the heartland against Democrats. "Keep it up," he taunted Garofalo and other critics on the panel.
"You guys are the kings of petty, nasty rhetoric," Garofalo snapped at Fund, who writes for the Wall Street Journal.
She then slammed the Republican National Convention in St. Paul, Minn., as a gathering of "small-minded, very petty (and) mean" delegates and speakers who simply grinded out "red meat" for the "dopes" in the red states.
"It's all limbic brain stuff," she said.
Continuing her rant, Garofalo asserted that Republicans believe in nothing decent and should all be locked up.
"There is no evidence to support that the current incarnation of the Republican Party-hyphen-conservative movement has any tethering to decency, kindness, tolerance (or) open-mindedness," she said. "What do they stand for? Torture as a policy. They stand for homophobia. They stand for no reproductive justice. They stand for denying global warming."

p.s.Well, ‘elitist’ was more than a stretch - perhaps in her own mind. Shrinking, vegie mind. .
You know, I’m pretty sure that the guests get paid some small amount for being on those show and Garafolo probably needs the money and must whore herself out as much as she can...Whoops, no pun intended...
I saw a show once where she was showing off her tattoos and one of them says “LIBERAL” in bold letters, as in “wearing her liberalism on her sleeve”...So she’s pretty much as foaming-at-the-mouth as you’d expect...
So sad her maternal parent had no reproductive justice.
??????????????? p Now THERE is a genius to pay attentiuon to.
****puke****
little Hitlers
“Hi, I’m Jeanne Grapola. This is my brain on drugs. Here, I’m not using it. Would you like to have it?
He Grapola, when your one cell brain gets heavily agitated again with Palin Derangement Syndromme, please come to try to put me in jail. Your mind will quickly become calm as your body assumes room temperature.
From which orifice did that exude?
Are all "decent" people Stalinists?
I did that with Paul Robson over half century ago.
I tell them that “choice” infers there is an option...
But to THEM, the only option is death...
Why not tolerate and not demean the choice of LIFE?
The abortionists CHOSE the wrong name..
They are the abortionists, the fetus killers, the death squad.
They are NOT the ones for CHOICE...
From their chosen name and their Tee Shirts focused on “CHOICE” — they should be expected to support those women who CHOOSE LIFE.
If that doesn't cause their little heads to explode - I ask if I should have the right conduct a very late term abortion on individuals I deem a very real threat to my medical and mental stability????
THEY claim that right, why shouldn't I exercise the same right??
There is a whole lot of those bastards who NEED killin....
This show was another DNC Bill Maher Real Time Division presentation. Bill has essentially cast any pretense to the wind, that his show is about humor or reason. Where he used to set it up so there were three to one whacked out liberals hanging on from the extreme fringe to one moderate to leftist Conservative wanna be, it’s now four.
Fund is a good guy, don’t take me wrong here. I don’t think he’s especially a well grounded Conservative, but he isn’t a fringe moon-bat by any means. He’s basically an intelligent nice guy.
On the show with Janeane Gerofalo were Salmon Rushdie, Janeane and of course Bill Maher. After taking Fund to task, more like insulting the man for an extended period of time, on a three to one basis, Maher reached into the depths of the democratic think tank to find one of it’s deepest thinkers, Roseanne Barr.
Roseanne came out to spew her own brand of anti-Conservative swill. There you had Rushdie, doing his best impression of a wigged out socialist, Janeane doing her best to repulse anyone with an IQ in excess of her age, and Barr dishing more proof that she can’t possibly have the mental acuity to do anything beyond breathing and walking for short distances. Then there was Maher with his usual smug exterior veneer, coiffed to convince anyone tuning in that he really has his s—t together. All one would have to do is tune in once to know that’s true.
From the guests with one general exception each show, to the topics, to the inane vile contradictory and insulting opinions voiced, one could hardly find a better word than s—t to describe Maher Inc.
How Maher continues to get one reasoned person to wallow in that human waste each week is beyond me. Why people with some semblance of reason don’t quit playing along with these cretins is beyond me. Let the leftists wallow in their own stew. Don’t let them set you up to shout you down for an hour.
Have some self-respect people.
another ugly bitch
and reproductive justice?
geezuss, these folks are living proof evil walks the land
Me also. I'm not sure I will start watching it again -- they've kind of explored the storyline every which way. You know, terrorists show up, Jack finds them and dispatches them like the dogs they are, while he fights the goobermint bureaucrats at every turn. Ho hum ... another day at the office for Jack. 5 o'clock. Time to stop shooting terrorists and slapping bureaucrats until tomorrow at 8.
Check out Sarah Connor: the Terminator Chronicles. It just started the second season on Fox, Monday nights, and it's really pretty good. Lena Headey is a babe, and one million times better looking than J. Grapola. She played the Queen in the movie 300.
One of the best things about that interview is Brian asked her why the liberals didn't protest Bill Clinton bombing Kosovo and she replied "it wasn't hip". Yeah, it was great seeing her admit what everyone realizes and that is the liberal/progressives are a bunch of hypocrites who wouldn't give a rat's ass about Iraq if it was a Democrat waging the war.
Just after he doesn't knock.
She can’t help being ugly, but she could at lease wear a Quasimoto mask to improve things.
You mean Good luck getting over half the electorate in jail.
