Southern Rock ruled 1978...at least in my world! lol Skynyrd, Marshall Tucker Band, Wet Willie, Allman Bros, ZZ Top. And then there's the psychedelic rock of Zepplin, Floyd etc.

I graduated in 1979 and threatened a walk out if the administration didn't let us have Freebird as our class song instead of some lame song..either John Denver or Barry Manilow, I forget.

78 here too. I was in Tucson at the time, so all of us nerdy rocker types were listening to the bands on your list.

Needless to say, we weren’t popular with the Prom committee senior year so just didn’t go.

Seems like we discovered Little Feet, too, in college, but they must have been around for a while. We must have played Dixie Chicken a thousand times in the spring of 80.
