If Barack Obama had his way, Gianna Jessen wouldn’t be here today.
In fact, if her biological mother’s late-term abortion had gone as planned, Jessen would have died in utero after being burned inside and out by a saline solution. But today, she is a healthy 31-year-old -- and she wants voters to know the truth about Obama’s stance on the Born Alive Infants Protection Act.
“We’re not talking about abortion. We’re talking about living, breathing babies who have survived an abortion and need medical care,” Jessen explained to HUMAN EVENTS. “Obama doesn’t think they should get it.”
Jessen appears in a new campaign ad sponsored by BornAliveTruth.org. In it, she says, “Four times, Barack Obama voted to oppose a law to protect babies left to die after a failed abortion. Senator Obama, please support born-alive infant protections. I'm living proof these babies have a right to live.”
BornAliveTruth.org was co-founded by Jessen and Jill Stanek, a former nurse who discovered her hospital, Christ Hospital in Oak Lawn, Illinois, was leaving aborted babies to die in soiled utility closets.

Obama believes universal health care doesn’t extend to infants.
I think this article might go a little too far....saying that if “Obama had his way.” He is not in there aborting children himself, nor did he ever kill a baby outside of the womb. He can’t be that big on aborting babies, because he has several children himself.
The problem is, he didn’t do anything to stop the practice of allowing aborted babies to die after the abortion resulted in the birth of a still living baby. Technically, this was against the law in Illinois and the Hippocratic Oath, but apparently still happened on some occasions.
To say, however, that Mr. Obama would have killed Gianna Jensen is pretty vile.

Please explain what is untrue about it. Indeed, letting a baby die IS vile. Pointing out that that is the preference, as revealed by his voting record, is NOT vile.

I think abortion is foul and unnatural, and I am in no way defending the disgusting practice. I think Mr. Obama’s refusal to vote correctly on this issue is truly shameful and ignoble and I am not defending him. I am merely taking issue with the rhetoric.
The whole practice of killing babies in the womb is abhorrent to every bone in my body.
What is just as horrific is the legions of politicians and celebrities who proudly uphold the right to murder baby human beings, yet sob uncontrollably when a baby seal gets clubbed or a spotted owl loses its habitat.
Now put that in your “rhetoric” pipe and smoke it!

That statement makes no more chronological sense than saying that if David Duke had his way, the confederacy would have won. Gianna Jessen was born well before Barack Obama entered any political role.

But it does say "If Barack Obama had his way, Gianna Jessen wouldn’t be here today." That's incontrovertibly true. Obama said he was against the Born Alive Infant Protection act because it "forces the mother to second-guess her decision."
If the baby is born alive and survives because of medical care, the mother has to decide whether to take the baby home and care for him, or make an adoption plan so somebody else can take the baby home. Obama apparently thinks it's better, all in all, if the baby's dead: no more decisions for mom.
Or what do you think he meant?

how can you call this "over the top"? Over the top is when you completely stretch statements, records, or other so totally far out of shape and context that they become absurd.
In this case - Obama clearly and on record is totally opposed to ANY efforts to support the life of botched abortions. Obama wants every baby delivered in an attempted abortion to be dead - period.
Gianna, had she been aborted in the time window of Obama's time in the Illinois Senate - she would have died - period. This is because Obama worked directly and actively to kill any efforts to protect such abortion survivors.

against, of course. I am Catholic for crying out loud. I shouldn’t have to prove that I am against killing babies. No one in their right mind would be for killing babies.
