Sarah Palin horrifies Liberals
Washington, Sept.22: Alaska Governor Sarah Palin has probably seen it all politically in the three weeks since she accepted the Republican party's vice-presidential nomination.
Her public as well as her personal space has been invaded with out a by or leave, and she is turning out to be the most polarizing figure in American politics.
She may have won quite a few brownie points from the Conservatives, but the Democrats and the Liberals are leaving no stone unturned to expose her as a negative choice.
"She horrifies me because . . . I can't even talk. She's . . . she's just about every negative I can imagine in a candidate," the New York Daily News quoted a fuming Lisa Shannon, a left-leaning professional from Maryland, as saying.
However, Virginia hunter Scot Campbell describes Palin as "inspiring."
"I love her talking points. Even more, I love the whole package," he adds.
The enthusiasm on the right is there, but scratch a politically active opponent of Bush White House policies and fury erupts.
"Eva Peron reminds me a lot of why I'm so frightened of Sarah Palin," said author Naomi Wolf, referring to the woman who put a movie-star face on Argentina's autocratic regime in the 1940s.
"She was this glossy, telegenic figurehead for a police state," said Wolf, a former Al Gore campaign adviser.
Wolf sees Palin as an extension not of McCain but of the current White House.
"Look at the way she's styled - this blows my mind. Every senior woman in the Bush administration has been styled by the same hand. It's the same colors, it's the same palette, it's the same makeup," Wolf said.
"In the back of my mind she's smiling at my face and stabbing me in the back," said Hannah Suckle, an executive assistant from Manhattan.
Syracuse University culture watcher Bob Thompson said the reaction gets superheated when Palin critics, especially those steeped in women's issues - get called sexist by the GOP.
"She has the best of both worlds," said Celeste Youngblood, of Winchester, Va. referring to Palin's executive experience, conservative credentials and family life. "She has five kids. I have six. She walks the walk. She knows what I'm about. I am much more excited."
Makes sense...she's intelligent, rational, honest, principled, accomplished and independent...all traits liberals hate.
Naomi Wolf, the deepest political thinker this side of Rosie, goes for the jugular = Sarah is not in style!
It just gets better and better.
Sarah Palin. A REAL woman that has taken her power as a Woman and not a Man. Remarkable. Go all REAL Women.
I am not all that fond of McCain. But when(hopefully) he wins it will drive the left crazy and into therapy. That I want to see.
I’d bet the farm that Naomi Wolfe has a bigger wiener than algore too.
Hillary's drum sticks are a nightmare!
Darkness abhors the light.
One of the better spectator sports in national politics is to see the heads of the smug, condescending Left exploding at the first contact with a genuine, unashamed American who isn’t afraid of them. Ronald Reagan had that effect. It’s pretty spectacular when it happens and they absolutely cannot help themselves.
But amusing as it is, there’s something profoundly disturbing in the level of vituperation they direct at an individual that not a single one of them actually knows, based on three weeks’ acquaintance only by media proxy. How on earth can one state “I hate everything about her” when that individual cannot know a single thing about her? These are not primary school children speaking about some new vegetable they’ve never tried, they’re putative and self-appointed paragons of enlightenment propounding nonsense about another human being. Were they actually intelligent enough to be considered intellectuals they’d be embarrassed by it.
It isn’t over anything that Sarah Palin actually is, it is an all-consuming hatred of what she represents, and what Sarah Palin represents to these people is the America they despise. I can think of no other explanation for this rabid, reflexive, inchoate hostility. It isn’t healthy.

I’m not sure how this could be said any better than you did. A few word changes, perhaps, but this is a beautiful three paragraphs.
My tagline says it all.
All this from the open minded tolerant diverse democrat party. Open mindedness is a sham. It actually means
just the opposite. It means that you dont agree with them you are close minded. There is no obligation of the left’s part to accept the right’s views. It is a one way sham.
Her name seems very appropriate for someone who loves a Nannystate.

Depends. If she's Chinese - it's Irene.
Naomi Wolfe’s friends (she has some doesn’t she?) really and trully need to do an intervention on her. Her rants are all over the net...and soon, for her own safety, I think someone will toss a net over her. A Xanax script would do her wonders...
.
Naomi Wolf is seriously sick!
.
same wad of newsprint in his shorts...
It's the Japanese, not Chinese who have no "L" in their language and can't pronounce it. Just think of all those people named "Lee."
LOL!
Almost spilled soda on my keyboard from laffin’!
