CQ Politics; Wall Street Journal; NBC ^ | September 24, 2008 | CQ Politics

Barack Obama has a statistically insignificant 48 percent to 46 percent lead over John McCain among registered voters with two percent choosing neither and 3 percent undecided in an NBC News/Wall Street Journal survey conducted Sept. 19-22. The margin of error is 3 points and the numbers includes leaners. Obama had led by 3 points in August and by 6 points in July. This poll differs from this week's Washington Post/ABC News and Fox News which both had Obama regaining statistically significant leads.

The poll I am paying attention to is the one where McCain/Palin drew 20,000 people to a campaign stop in Wisconsin. Obama only drew 6,000 the next day. IN WISCONSIN. I think the polls are skewed so that we will be called cheaters if/when McCain wins in November.

I will be posting what I said from an earlier post every time I see polls posted .....
“Just came for Drudge and he has a picture of the smug black messiah making a fist like the black panthers! I still don’t believe this, NO WAY, NO HOW(poll numbers)....I’m getting a little nervous but GOD will help us win this battle. The Tsunami of evil spewed by the RATS and their accomplices is beyond anything I have EVER witnessed. I serve a God who deals with the impossible, I serve a MIGHTY God who deals severely with evil doers. I serve a God who listens to the cries of his people. I serve a KING who has the power to turn the hearts of people to do the right thing. I serve a MASTER who turns situations around... what satan meant for evil HE will turn it around for good. I have to believe I serve a MIGHTY GOD! Fix your eyes on Him don’t look at the situation, but put your faith in him. IF ever we needed Him most it’s now. Call upon him and he will answer. I’m NOT willing to surrender my COUNTRY over to Satan’s cronies yet! The SPIRITUAL fight has just began. Please, I implore you, FAST AND PRAY. This is the only way we can defeat the demons and their plans. PLEASE, PLEASE..God Doesn’t need an army of millions but a handful of faithful believers who are willing to take a stand in the middle of the Storm by faith believing without wavering that God can do all things! Even this to turn an election to favor McPAL! Join me with prayer and fasting.”

I just reviewed the internals. The response for ‘very negative opinion of Republicans’ is much higher than ‘very negative for Democrats’. I suspect they oversampled the Dems AGAIN.

Yep. So I think McCain has a small lead. And he seized the initiative on the economy today and turned the tables on Obambi. All Obambi can do is react.

Agree. I am thinking all the racist accusations are going to backfire on the Leftys. Americans don't tolerate bullying and we do know why we aren't voting for Obama. He's an immature, vindictive Marxist. His race doesn't have anything to do with it.

Idiots. The internals show that over 70% have a negative view of the Democratic congress. Then by a margin of 50% to 38% these people want another Democratic congress!

The dumbing down of America has been a tremendous success.

I wish I was that optimistic, but I think McCain is trailing by at least 4 points right now. He’s had 2 bad weeks.

I'm optimistic. Obambi cannot quite close the deal. And I think that's more significant than the fact he has the edge with RV.

Fred, and everyone, I will try ONCE AGAIN to explain this.

The Presidential election is the political Super Bowl for both the pollsters and the media. The pollsters make their money by serving the campaigns and the media; the media makes its money by the candidates buying ads. Both will have you believe the races is close RIGHT UP UNTIL THE VERY END because it means millions more dollars for them.

My opinion? McCain is up by at least 10. Will either the pollsters or the media tell you that? NOT A CHANCE.

Follow...the..Money. Truest political advice ever uttered.

I heard of a poll just today which had Obama ahead by nine points. Was that a real poll, or maybe I’m dreaming???

There’s actually a story within the internals...(that will probably never be reported as it would make them look bad)

#32 asks how much confidence the pollee has in the media. Results:

great bit 5% (A)
quite a bit 14% (B)
Some 45% (C)
very little 23% (D)
Not at all 12% (F)

The letters by each percentage are my own. I basically assigned a grade for each level, with not at all being Failing.

Looks like the polled people are telling the MSM that they are making a C- or D on their performance/reliability. (Just estimating here ;) )...

10 what? 10 EVs? Maybe. 10%? Not a chance. IMO.
