From Michelle Malkin:
If Sen. John F. Kerrys presidential aspirations melt like a dollop of Cheez Whiz in the sun, the trouble may well be traced to an incident in South Philadelphia on Monday.
There, the Massachusetts Democrat went to Pats Steaks and ordered a cheesesteak with Swiss cheese. If that werent bad enough, the candidate asked photographers not to take his picture while he ate the sandwich; shutters clicked anyway, and Kerry was caught nibbling daintily at his sandwich another serious faux pas.
It will doom his candidacy in Philadelphia, predicted Craig LaBan, food critic for the Philadelphia Inquirer, which broke the Sandwich Scandal. After all, Philly cheesesteaks come with Cheez Whiz, or occasionally American or provolone. But Swiss cheese? In Philadelphia, thats an alternative lifestyle, LaBan explained.

Yes, John Kerry should have lost PA just for asking for Swiss cheese on a cheesesteak — that just isn’t done!! Of course, a patrician like John Kerry would not ever be caught dead or alive eating something messy with his hands anyway...... I am sure he thought the cheesesteak to be one of the most appalling culinary adventures he’d ever had...... I wonder if he took more than one bite out of his cheesesteak-with-swiss before heading off to kiss more babies.....

The one I liked about “jfnKerry”, was when he and Edwards went in to a Wendy’s to look like the little people. Took their to go bags and waved and took photos and went in to their Motor homes and ate a complete catered meal as they headed down the road to the next group of suckers.

Didnt jfnKerry order his with swiss?Yes. I cannot begin to imagine how many votes that lost him in Philly. No joke.
It is interesting that Sarah stopped at Tony Luke's though. The slightly bigger names in Philly as far as cheesesteak shops go are Geno's and Pat's. They're basically next door to each other around 10th and Federal. My preference is Geno's. Tony Luke does have a shop at the ball park, though, and I think that has helped promote their name a lot.

Worse, with lettuce and tomatoes.
He made a hoagie out of his cheese steak

Actually, Kerry had his cheesesteak with French brie.
