Check out your Rep. Most of the GOP voted against, for what it's worth.

Where the heck was Tom Tancredo?! Wasn’t he a conservative running for president several months ago? He couldn’t show UP?! Is this his way of getting back at us for not giving him the nomination?!

So, this is it? The Bailout plan has passed the House? If so, it was a very narrow margin which unfortunately needed and got 11 GOP votes. Well, at least that number of lower the 50 or so RINOs I heard who had supported the original, pork-filled bailout plan.

The Bailout bill has not even made it to the floor yet ... they are still having their usless debate.

What you are reporting is a vote they took earlier to go on vacation!

This vote was to move the bailout bill along to 3 hours of debate on HOuse floor. After 3 hours debate, the next vote is for final passage. This vote was a proxy for where each Rep will vote on the bill after the 3 hours of debate. Now the arm twisting by Nancy Pelosi and White House will start based on who voted against moving the bill to debate.

No, it isn't that....

It's a vote for the consideration of that Senate amendment to the bailout bill.

see my post on the debate going on now. The vote was to MOVE the debate to the floor and after 3 hours of debate, the NEXT vote is for final passage. I see my Rep voted against the resolution, as did Paul Ryan, one of the leaders of the House Republican efforts to replace taxpayers $ with Wall St $ for insuring the mess, rather than buying the assets. Nancy Pelosi is crapping her pants, the HOuse Republicans will not go along with her scheme to nationalize the economy. Without their cover, she is exposed. McCain has to come to his senses now that he sees the HOuse Republicans are still against this.

Mine, a Dem, Aye. The only two GOP house reps from my state, Nay.

Thanks for the roster, had to look up all my state reps and write it down.

When and if it gets to the Senate, we have 1 R and 1 D. Will see what they vote.

Lawmakers agreed to begin debate by a narrow margin with 220 votes in favour and 198 against. Only 11 Republican lawmaker voted to begin debate on the measure while 181 voted against. Among Democrats, the votes were 209 in favour and 17 against.
