Against all laws and regulations, I sometimes wear an official Marine Corps boonie hat... the one Karl bought for me when I visited him in MOS school at Swamp Lagoon. But the Gold Star Lapel Pin I wear on it is legitimate. I gave one to my Mom, but told her she wasn't entitled to wear it according to regulations - only next-of-kin.
