Wanda Baucus, an artist and former Harvard professor, has kept a low profile throughout most of Baucus political career.
One notable exception came in 2004 when Mrs. Baucus was charged with a misdemeanor for assaulting another woman after a dispute over a bag of mulch at a Washington, D.C., garden store.
