U.S. Sen. Wayne Allard still isn't sure how he'll vote when the financial bailout bill comes up in about four hours.
Allard said he's concerned about unrelated measures being tacked onto the measure. One proposal would mandate mental health coverage as part of health insurance policies.
Allard called that proposal "a very expensive bill."
U.S. Sen. Ken Salazar said he plans to hold a news conference in a few minutes to explain his position.
The latest version of the bailout proposal is better than the original measure introduced last week. The bill now includes an inspector general to oversee the rescue program and provisions to recoup the funds.
But, he said, "I have a lot of reservations about this bill."
Of particular concern is an increase in the national debt level to $11.3 trillion.

An I.G. to look over it like they did Freddie/Fannie, yeh, right.
Gee that sounds like a call to the highest bidder. He’s only going to be in office a couple of more months. If someone calls and makes him an offer he can’t refuse, he’ll take it.
What a dumb ass. He voted in favor of this "unrelated" stuff last week, in H.R.6049! Senate Roll Call Vote No. 205, passed 93-2, with 5 abstentions. The 2 NAY votes were Carper and Conrad.
Hmm...I could see a poison pill being attached to this.
If only McCain would wise up for 5 minutes and see the forest for the trees...
