The Boston Globe Shamelessly Lies About Palin (The Day The Truth Died)
Boston Herald ^ | October 2, 2008 | Michael Graham

Posted on 10/02/2008 3:43:31 AM PDT by suspects

The headline on the Boston Globe-Democrat’s editorial page, “Wasilla Made Rape Victims Pay,” says it all.

All wrong.

The Globe-Democrat yesterday asserted as fact that “during her tenure as mayor of Wasilla, the town started charging rape victims or their insurers for rape kits.”

But the truth is that there is no record of a rape victim ever being charged for a rape kit by Wasilla; there’s no evidence Mayor Palin knew about the policy or took any action on it either way; and no record of a victim’s insurance company being charged by the town.

How does an alleged “newspaper” make such a claim without any facts whatsoever?

The story is old news in the new media. Left-leaning Slate.com called it “a nasty and untrue rumor.” National Review’s Jim Geraghty, who has written exhaustively on the story calls it “unsupported by the facts.” But at the Obama-Uber-Alles Boston Globe, they call it “news.”

We have come to the point in the media’s treatment of Gov. Sarah Palin where even the fig leaf of pretense is gone. The press has openly chosen sides and has stopped apologizing for it.

In the old days the media establishment would have demanded Gwen Ifill recuse herself from tonight’s debate. (See Malkin’s column.) Today, that’s greeted with a shrug.

The Propadandists Formerly Known As Journalists have abandoned even the semblance of integrity and thrown themselves into the mission of electing the “right” candidate, Barack Obama.

And if that means running lead editorials filled with direct, demonstrable lies it’s for the greater good. Sacrifices must be made. Starting with the truth.

And the truth is out there. When the allegation was first made that, as mayor, Sarah Palin chased down rape victims for the Wasilla’s Accounts Receivable Department, city records were searched for...

Since the majority of Americans don't even know of the existence of Freerepublic.com, but know of the Boston Globe, the truth will never come out.

Someone at the Boston Globe is responsible for this. Who is that?

Here is an article from Geraghty on this. There is contact info for the Globe at the end of it, if anyone wants it.

The Boston Globe is just going through “severe panic syndrome”. The syndrome has been spreading all through the sources of liberal media.

At the FR thread below, you will notice that Mr.Ackerman of the LA Times obviously has “severe panic syndrome”. He believes the abolishment of the office of Vice President needs to come about.

Here’s a ‘rape kit’ for the media...and we taxpayers should give the media the bill: Sue the media outlets that printed such nonsense for slander and they can share in the attorney and case fees.

"The Boston Globe is just going through “severe panic syndrome”.

No kidding... (yawn).

The more I hear how the "Trained Chicago Mob-Chimp" is "pulling ahead" in the polling, the more I laugh. This sorry excuse for a human being is never, EVER going to be elected president of the U.S.A.

Yesterday, a Federal Court judge denied the Obama Campaign lawyers' request that the lawsuit against Obama, filed by a prominent Pennsylvania Democrat attorney, be thrown out.

The Obama Camp's Motion for Dismissal was based upon a broad assertion that the Plaintiff had no standing to bring charges, ergo the Court had no "authority" to review the matter.

A liberal leftie judge probably would have found for the defendant. But this judge "DENIED" the motion, which was exceptionally-well presented, argued and supported in the exhaustive, 28-page pleading by the Plaintiff, who is a very skilled and knowledgable attorney.

The case will be heard, and Obama now has 3 days to provide the Plaintiff, upon the judge's order, his "vault" (long form version) Birth Certificate, Certificate of Citizenship, etc.

If Obama does not come forth with these doucuments, the Judge will place a "stay" on the campaign while the matter is heard in emergency session, as Obama is running roughshod over the most precious tenets of our Constitution, masquerading as someone who is eligible to become President of the United States of America, when he, in fact, is ineligible because he is an illegal alien.

He's a Muslim agent provocateur, and he will never be president of the USA. Watch and see.

And enjoy the debate tonight. The Barracuda is going to make Plugs' head explode with a metaphorical stilletto heel to the eyeball. For you Secret Service types out there who may have a cousin who's a Sherriff in Missouri (as well as your Dad...), everyone knows this is an obvious literary allusion, as Palin wears sensible pumps, not stilletto heels. So back off, loser-boy.

That's my take.

Couldn’t agree more!

Waiting for the court case to hit the media, but won’t hold my breath!

I am almost 50 years old and I’ve never seen anything to rival this. We have a financial crisis of immense proportions with prominent DIM fingerprints all over it and the the MSM doesn’t care. We have campaign finance corruption that the Clintons could only dream about and the MSM doesn’t care. We have enough voting irregularities to put Zimbabwe to shame and the MSM doesn’t care.
Somewhere out there is an ethical journalist who wants to win a Pulitzer prize by doing their job.
I just hope it’s not too late.

With the media so far in the tank for Obama, the only real options are to start competing networks, like Fox, or to buy the networks and institute a different philosophy (clean house). Since the networks are on a long decline, we could just wait it out as their influence wanes.

The net is taking over, and with it, a much more divided USA. People will gravitate toward sites which reflect their inclinations.
