Looks like Biden had the questions in advance
Presidential Debate | 10/02/09 | Wil H

Posted on 10/02/2008 7:34:45 PM PDT by Wil H

Joe Biden just answered a question without hesitation, without pause for thought, as if he knew what was coming.

Ifill asked him "Can you think of a long held view you were forced to change.."

Biden stepped in without hesitation with a detailed answer, even before Ifill had finished asking the question.

Did he anticipate and have a canned answer, or was he prepped and just jumped in to soon?

I have absolutely no doubt Obiden had the questions beforehand.

Did you hear Palin call Joe “Obiden”? ... too funny

DANG! I was thinking the same thing during the debate. He was flowing too smoothly into a quick response, especially the one about what would happen if the Pres was gone.

“oBAMa age” wasn’t too bad as a mod.

But Sarah knocked it out of the park.

Thank you God for Sarah Palin.

He actually did that on more than one occasion. The first time he did it I was certain he had the questions in advance and the second time he did it I was absolutely certain.

He almost answered it before it was asked. There was another question where he appeared to read his response.

Its like a job interview. You always have questions like that in advance and answers. They are the ones you can always count on getting.

he was way too rapid in his response to that question. he didn't even hesitate. also, both biden and palin seemed to be looking down at the podium quite often, while answering questions. i wonder if they had notes, or a blackberry, to help them along.

overall (putting flame-suit on) i think the debate was a tie (with slight advantage to the barracuda for holding her own and doing well).

jmo.

“Can you think of a long held view you were forced to change..”

There was no doubt in my mind - the moment he answered that question as quickly as he did - he had the questions.

Funny how all his answers were, “We’re not spending enough”

Except for the fact that she gave Biden the last comment on almost every question. Governor Palin had to refute him on her next question.

Joe Biden just answered a question without hesitation, without pause for thought, as if he knew what was coming.

He did know what was coming, but not because anyone fed him the answers in advance. They didn't need to - Biden has been in the Senate forever, he's run for the presidency, and he's participated in hundreds of interviews, debates, speeches. Any long-time member of the Senate would have done as well.

But Palin shone. Great job - she came across as smart, funny, genuine, well-informed, and that charisma that came through in the convention speech was on display again.

Whoever's been booking her with Gibson and Couric and power-cramming her head with talking points needs to be fired from McCain's campaign. The Palin we saw tonight can help win the election for McCain.

Absolutely.

As soon as Ifill finished a question, Biden would nearly complete her sentence and launch into his reasoned response.

VERY TRANSPARENT to me that she had tipped the questions beforehand.

Disgusting.
