Another crowning achievement of the Bush administration, failing to snuff out voter fraud when there was such incredible political capital to do so after the 2000 election.
No chance. After the media declared that we had ‘Stolen” the 2000 election, there wasn’t a chance that Bush would go after voter fraud. Imagine the cries of racism.
In Mexico, we carry I.D, with photo, and it must match the I.D photo at the precinct. Once we vote, a hole is punched in the I.D, and a black X...is drawn across our picture which is registered in our precinct. Ballots are put in clear plastic urns, and election watchers all take pictures of empty urns before the ballots are cast, and stay til all ballots are counted..and sent to the State Rep. Actually, it’s pretty well organized, with people from different parties encouraged to watch the process.
