DERA ISMAIL KHAN, Pakistan The Taliban are unusually angry about the latest suspected U.S. missile strike in Pakistan, a sign a top militant may have died in the attack, officials and residents said Sunday amid reports the death toll rose by two to 24.
Elsewhere in Pakistan's northwest, an official said some 15,000 Afghans had left a tribal region the military is trying to wrest from insurgents, but that tens of thousands more had yet to meet a government ultimatum to get out by Sunday.

OF COURSE they are angry! But, what can they DO about it? Nothing, except hunker down for the next one!
Oh, too bad! That's going to ruin my day!
Someone big goes KABOOM!
I'm still mad about the Bamiyan Buddas, not to speak of all the murders in Afghanistan since.
I bet they were angry.
But was it us? I bet the Iranians could be blamed for this as well. Or maybe someone within the taliban organization. Doubts need to be sown in the minds of the enemy.

I bet it’s a big one.
My gosh, we're sorry about that.
Didn't mean to make unusually angry. Just plain regular Mad Mo angry would have been just fine
Won't happen again
We should Nuke them...then they won’t be angry, they’ll be quiet
We should’ve been doing this 6 1/2 years ago.
Sounds good to me.
Shoot.......the Taliban only have to cool it for a few months...and once Obama gets in, they can claim victory and have their way.....I’m sure they will be welcome at inauguration day festivities.
Look, up in the sky. It's a bird. It's a plane. No, It's your worse nightmare.
Great picture. Uplifting sentiments!

PESHAWAR: The death toll from Fridays US airstrikes on Mohammad Khel village of North Waziristan Agency rose to 20, including seven foreign nationals, sources close to militants told The News here Saturday.
According to the sources, 20 people were killed and a few others injured in the US attack on two houses in Mohammad Khel village, 20 kilometres west of Miramshah, the headquarters of North Waziristan Agency, bordering Afghanistans troubled Khost province. They said the dead included seven foreign nationals, eight family members of Daud Jan and Abdur Rahman, belonging to Dawar tribe, and five other people hailing from Punjab and Peshawar.
Besides Daud Jan and Abdur Rahman, other Dawar people killed in the missile attack were identified as Jamshed, Sadeequllah, Ihsan, Naqeebullah and Faisal.
Faisal, brother of Abdur Rahman, who was critically injured, succumbed to his injuries Saturday morning. Two among the victims were reportedly children belonging to Abdur Rahmans family.
Residents of Mohammad Khel village said only a few bodies were in recognisable shape as majority of the victims were beyond recognition. As usual, armed militants and their supporters surrounded the targeted houses and did not allow people go there.
Sources close to militants said bodies of the foreign nationals were shifted to an unknown location where they were secretly laid to rest late Friday night. After collective funeral prayers for the victims on Saturday morning in Mohammad Khel, the villagers were laid to rest in the local graveyard while bodies of those belonging to Punjab and Peshawar were sent to their respective hometowns for burial.
The sources said members of Daud Jan family and their guests were offering Maghrib (evening) prayers at lawn of the house when US Predator attacked them.
Some of the militants after visiting the site told this correspondent by telephone from Miramshah that both the houses remained undamaged in the missile attack. Only the lawn was targeted where the hosts and their guests were offering prayers, said a tribal militant desiring not to be named. He also disagreed with media reports that 16 among the victims were foreigners.
I prayed to Allah and all I got was Hellfire !
“As usual, armed militants and their supporters surrounded the targeted houses and did not allow people go there.”
Um, is anybody paying attention to this? Second opportunity, target rich?
I’d bet that there are drones watching their every move. I’d image there are assets being used to take pictures, listen for phone calls, ID and track vehicles, etc. .
