Well, this whole piece can be called into question considering Howard Wolfson said the Democrat primary was “over” against Barack Obama.

However, I question going after Ayers in the midst of an economic crisis. It’s very easy to give off the impression that while the economy implodes, McCain/Palin are talking about Ayers. I think it’s a totally legitimate issue, just one that should have already been used to define Obama. Now is the time to hit Obama on Fannie/Freddie/ACORN and their role in this.

I’ve said this before, so forgive me, but I’m worried about Sarah becoming too polarizing a figure to be a compelling national figure in future elections. Allahpundit (not my favorite blogger, very pessimistic), says she is screwing her political future by engaging in these attacks.

Again, Allah is a nattering nabob of negativism....what do the Freepers think?

VP’s usually take the attack dog role. It helps that the associations are completely fair and accurate and delivered with charm, while the attacks against her were mostly paranoid ugly delusion.

Her political future is assured when McCain wins in November.

Her political future will probably never recover if they don't win, luckily I don't really think its going to be close for 0bama.

You still peddling this nonsense, Newbie?

If the public thinks that Obama is the best qualified to handle the ecnomy, then go after his credentials, achievements, and associations to show that he is a fraud. If you destroy his personal credibility, everything else collapses like a house of cards.

Allah is getting like those folks who said we couldn't win in Iraq. It became more important to them that they be right than that we win.

Winning in this climate will not be easy, heck it may be close to impossible, but if Allah wants to pull a Dole let him hand over his part of Hot Air to someone who wants to win badly enough to pull out all the stops.

Hello,

First, hi to a neighbor, I live in Fenton.

Second, IMHO, bringing up “The O’s” friends is important, on all issues. It comes down to judgment. If he hangs out with, dines with, shares with, serves on boards with and takes political favors/cash with those that wish to damage the US, on what issue is he trustworthy? The answer is none.

Also, McCain hit him hard today on the Freddie/Fannie mess and his role in this mess.

Time will tell, but all (and I do mean damn near all) eyes are on this race, now is the time for McCain/Palin to hit it and they are. If they keep it up, the DBM and “The O” will have a heart attack, further weakening their position.

:)

I'm not. If anyone is going to try to make Palin "polarizing" it will be the MSM and the kooks on the left, who think that she's simply a better looking Jesse Helms. Honestly, the attempt will be futile should Hussein lose this time around.

Calm down on Sarah. She wont have a future if the ticket doesnt win and that means she needs to win.

The libs will hate her anyway just for not being an ugly pro-abort man-hater.

You go after both. The timing on Ayers was wrong. It should have happened before the debates. The debates were the first time most Americans had seen much of BO. He seems like a pretty level-headed guy. All he needed to do was look credible and he won.

The questions about terrorists and Wright should have been driven home hard in the week or two before the debates so, when folks saw him, they saw ayers and wright and a slick guy who is pulling the wool over their eyes.

It's a lot harder to do AFTER the debate. But McCain's only chance now (given the economy) is to drive BO's negatives thru the roof. And you do that with terrorists, wright, rezko and Obama's accepting $125,000 from Fannie Mae.

Even if McCain doesn't win, BO reaches the finish line badly damaged goods if the attacks are hard and focused. So in the worst case, he can do less damage as president. As soon as he starts to act like BO and coddle terrorists, cut the military, surrender in Iraq etc, people will remember what the ads said. It sets the stage for a congressional comeback in 2010.
