An American author who penned an anti-Barack Obama book was detained by immigration authorities in Kenya after plans to launch the book there, the Times of London reported.
Jerome Corsi, of Swift Boat Veterans for Truth fame, was being held Tuesday morning while his immigration status was checked in a nation where Obama is widely popular. Kenyan airport officials said they plan to deport Corsi.
Despite, Joe Farah, a friend of Corsi's, told FOXNews he was still in custody and expected to make a flight to the U.K. later Tuesday.
He had been planning to launch his book, entitled "The Obama Nation: Leftist Politics and the Cult of Personality," before traveling to one of Nairobi’s slums to donate money to the Senator’s half-brother George, who was found living in squalid conditions two months ago.
But officers swooped hours after Corsi was described as "author of a smear crusade" by local newspapers.

I am sure this is exactly what Corsi wanted to make this front page material (see Drudge Report) and then make this book public right before the election.

You can bet that any documentation about Obama’s Kenyan history (birth, maybe?) is getting the same treatment as is Corsi.
Odinga is the prime minister. That explains everything. Notice that Corsi is described as “the author of a smear campaign.” Precisely what Obama accuses his critics of doing here.

Not so. This is exactly what Obama wants in America. No criticism of him. If you mean this will not play well with the voters, that remains to be seen.

Imagine what would happen if Obama becomes President and Democrats have complete control over Congress. Their top priority will be to pack the Supreme Court. After that--
Maybe Corsi can call Bill Ayers for help with this deportation. I hear he’s one of the best community organizers in the country.
