Well, you know. It is what it is. I do not think it will have a serious effect on anything.

Good for him. A man who looks out for his family....the press won’t know what to do with that.

“Anyone who knows Sarah knows she is the governor and she calls the shots,” Todd Palin wrote. “I make no apologies for wanting to protect my family and wanting to publicize the injustice of a violent trooper keeping his badge.”
What the hell is wrong with people that think this was not right? I know if someone like that was involved in my life I would have done a lot more than just applying pressure to have that goon fired.
This country has too many people that have lost their minds, and stand up for the wrong people, at least until it affects them personally. If it did we would see how fast their tunes would change.

Suggestive and innacurate headline. What a surprise!
HERE’S THE NUT:
[... Palin says she fired Monegan over a budget
dispute. The documents filed late Wednesday bolster
that claim and also describe an effort by Monegan
to wrest control of the department away from Palin...]

Was he an Alaska citizen? Are people in Alaska allowed to complain to public officials?
Is Todd Palin running for anything?

Guess this part of the story isn’t being emphasized.

If that's all he did he showed a lot more forbearance than I would have shown.

Potential firing of a state trooper for miscounduct = scandal.
Firing of the White House Travel Office staff = no big deal.
Up is down and right is left.

I fail to see a downside to this. Now, if he hadn’t tried to protect his family after death threats .... that would worry me.

Did he take huge campaign contributions and then help to bolster a crooked quasi-government entity that has put the entire country on the brink of bankruptcy???
No? Well, then he doesn’t hold a candle to Obama, Frank and Dodd,

Palins husband, Todd, said in a sworn affidavit released Wednesday night that he never pressured the states public safety commissioner to fire Palins former brother-in-law, a state trooper who had divorced the governors sister.
