An infestation of the Turkistan cockroach, which can carry diseases such as typhoid and dysentery, can be blamed on a handful of the insects hitching a ride with soldiers returning from the war zone, experts say. Now the fast-breeding cockroaches, which are adept at dodging pesticides, have spread from California to New Mexico, threatening mayhem further afield as they seek new territory.

Every winter, when I’m scraping ice off of a car window or shoveling snow, I remind myself that the frost, snow, and ice are good because they kill all sorts of nasty critters including fire ants, Africanized honey bees, and all sorts of poisonous bugs and reptiles.

I am still dealing with some bizzarro mites that have invaded my home, practically wrecked my marriage and alienated my family. Problem is.. it’s just me and the dog going nuts! Finally caught some of the mini terrorists on Friday... can’t wait til Tuesday when I can take them to the Entymologist!

I don’t think we have to worry that much about invasions by foreign roaches; we have our own roaches who assert their territory aggressively. We call them Democrat lawyers.

Have you checked for bird nests? The mites usually come in to houses on birds.
First thing I thought of, reading this, was the illegals that work in housekeeping in many hotels, may have come to our country with bed bug eggs, hiding in their clothing.
