To win this lawsuit, all BHO has to do is present to the judge a certified birth certificate attesting to his birth in Hawaii. He has this certificate, we know this because he posted it. Why then does BHO (or the DNC?) hire a team of attorneys to fight this lawsuit on technical grounds and not take the easy way out, by turning over his birth certificate to the Judge?

There is so MUCH misinformation on this issue that it is all getting jumbled up. To respond to the above, however: NO, Obama has NEVER presented the certified vault-copy of the long-form of his Birth Certificate. All he has ever produced has been what is purported to be a Certification of Live Birth ... a print-out from Government digital records as to Obama's birth. It is NOT the same thing as a certified copy of his actual Birth Certificate. THAT is is what is required in this case, IF the judge so rules. Part of the problem is that the Certification of Live Birth that has been presented, thus far, has never been examined by a court of law and, indeed, has been identified by several experts as a work of photoshop manufacture. If this charge is true, then the best way to deal with this is to haul out a certified copy of the original birth certificate, drawn from the vault in Hawaii. Do THAT and you prove he was born here. Lacking that, almost anything can be claimed. If Obama were to whip that out, Berg would be silenced (at least in regard to his standing as being born within the United States).

Obama was an adult (in college) in 1981. He made the 6-month trip to visit his mother in Indonesia and to go various other places in the Middle East. In one of his autobiographies, he mentions some of these places; I haven’t read the books, but supposedly his destinations included places like Iran, etc. However, some of these places, such as Iran, did not permit Americans to enter with an American passport at that time. Hence, this means he had some other passport.

I think it’s odd, too; he could theoretically put an end to all this by simply presenting this document. So obviously there’s a problem with it.

As for people saying there’d be a “paper trail” if he had been born in Kenya and brought back to the US by his mother, there probably wouldn’t have been much of anything for an infant at that time. She was clearly a citizen, and this was well before the time of concern about terrorist infiltration, etc. Small children travelled on their parent’s passport and were usually not even registered by the airlines as passengers.

a similar case brought against them in California.

There is a key and significant difference between the two cases. McCain was not trying to argue that he was not born in Panama, that was a given fact. They had two choices:

1) The inexpensive choice - Have the case dismissed on technical grounds.

2) The High priced choice - Fight the case on it's legal/Constitutional issues. Is a person born before 1964 outside of the US to US Citizens to be considered Natural Born?

Choice two could have ended up going to the Supreme Court. Only the most partisan person would deny Citizenship to the son of a military family who is born outside of the US to US citizens.

In Obama's case all he has to do is produce a birth certificate.

Sorry, when given the choice, between the complex and expensive route, vs. the easy and logical route, logic is always a good bet.

I didn’t learn of the requirement for an oath until I applied for an FCC broadcast license. I easily passed the test, but my application was refused due to my indeterminate (dual) status.

I found out what I needed to do to clear it up, and arranged to take the oath. Obama should never have been allowed to hold ANY public office without establishing sole and exclusive American citizenship.

Was he 21 yet? Which name was he using at the time? Can a person under the freedom of information act get information on his travels?

Thanks for the clarification. I may not have used the preferred term, but we agree on the principle: Obama can easily prove he was born in Hawaii, if he was in fact born in Hawaii.

The fact that he chooses not to do this calls into question the validity of his position.

No authority - judge, FEC, etc. - has legally acknowledged seeing any lawful proof of where BHO was born, Hawaii or otherwise. Lots of claims are being slung in both directions (indicating that he’s not eligible, but not proving it), but no proof has been given. If such proof exists either way, show a judge and the issue is over.

I just wish those who claim to have proof would quit talking about it and either show it or shut up.

Unfortunately, it’s the kind of thing that proof against eligibility can be easily eliminated with enough financial & political clout, which BHO has. Just takes paying/intimidating the right person to make the single piece of paper go away.

But you'd be foolish to rely on it alone.

I've heard the Pakistan stories but never anything on Obama visiting Iran. There doesn't seem to be anything on it on Google. What are the details.

What about his Indonesian citizenship? He got this when he was adopted by his mother’s second Muslim husband, an Indonesian (Soetero).

No. According to US law, you can't renounce or lose your citizenship until you are 18 years of age. Maybe Indonesian law doesn't allow dual citizenship, but Indonesian law doesn't have any say as to US citizenship rules.

In Obama's case all he has to do is produce a birth certificate.

Or he can follow your inexpensive path - have it thrown out on technical grounds. That's what he's doing.

Sorry, when given the choice, between the complex and expensive route, vs. the easy and logical route, logic is always a good bet.

Obama isn't paying for this, and his campaign isn't going to miss the money this is costing to fight.

Obama has said he was born in Hawaii. You and Berg and a bunch of others have called him a liar. Now, he can give in to the charge and provide the birth certificate. Or he can take the position that he's not going to dignify your claims with an answer. And in fact, you have no standing to sue to begin with. From a sheer politics point of view, fighting it out makes more sense. If they can get the case dismissed on technical grounds it makes the charges seem even more frivilous.
