Obama's Dual Citizenship (according to his defenders!)
Factcheck.org ^ | August 29, 2008 | Joe Miller

Does Barack Obama have Kenyan citizenship?

No. He held both U.S. and Kenyan citizenship as a child, but lost his Kenyan citizenship automatically on his 21st birthday.

Wouldn't this alone make him ineligible to hold the office of the presidency?

Factcheck.org presented this as a refutation of a Rocky Mountain News Online article cited within the link. If this is true, not even presenting his COLB to the court would matter, as it wouldn't solve the problem of his dual citizenship.

Obama is not only unfit for the office of POTUS, but is - apparently - ineligible, too!

What about his Indonesian citizenship? He got this when he was adopted by his mother’s second Muslim husband, an Indonesian (Soetero).

It was noted that in 1981, he travelled on his round the world jaunt to places to which he would not have been admitted with an American passport, so I would suspect he not only had foreign nationality (probably Indoensian) but was traveling under a foreign passport.

Why? Read Article II, Section 1, Clause 5 and tell me how this would make him ineligible.

Obama is not only unfit for the office of POTUS, but is - apparently - ineligible, too!

I'll grant you the unfit part. But trying to prove the ineligible is a waste of time.

I’m aware of the Indonesian angle, which further complicates the issue. Interesting that Obama and the DNC have chosen to fight the Berg lawsuit rather than simply provide the documents to prove his status as a “natural born citizen”. (Apparently, because he can’t).

No. A U.S. citizen may acquire foreign citizenship by marriage, or a person naturalized as a U.S. citizen may not lose the citizenship of the country of birth. U.S. law does not mention dual nationality or require a person to choose one citizenship or another. Also, a person who is automatically granted another citizenship does not risk losing U.S. citizenship. However, a person who acquires a foreign citizenship by applying for it may lose U.S. citizenship. In order to lose U.S. citizenship, the law requires that the person must apply for the foreign citizenship voluntarily, by free choice, and with the intention to give up U.S. citizenship.

Except for the age of his mother at the time and if his grandmother is correct that she witnessed his birth in Kenya would.

It is possible that he has a dual citizenship and neither country is the United States.

Hard evidence in the form of some sort of documentation would do more. If Obama was born in Kenya then his birth would have to be regisered with the local authorities, the U.S. embassy would have to issue documents to allow him back into the country, and nothing like that has been found. Instead of chasing wild goose chases why not go for the easier path and defeat Obama on the issues?

Ed Hale (Hillary Supporter) claims one of three certified Kenyan birth certificates is in his possesion. Corsi did state on some radio show last week the the b.c. issue will grow legs....but at this point, I think he is losing some credibility. Toledo OH Fox affiliate did a story on the Berg lawsuit yesterday. Hopefully, the judge will make a ruling in the near future. Obviously, something is wrong or bho would just produce a b.c. for the courts to prove Berg wrong and then go on tv claiming the evil republicans were behind it. Instead bho and DNC want it dismissed. Why drag this out as it will stick in some voters minds.

I think the Rocky Mt. paper provided cover and an opening for FactCheck to “spin” away 0bama’s lack of proof of citizenship.

This will, supposedly, “explain” all of the “misconceptions” being floated on the internet.

The full name of FactCheck.org is the Annenberg Political Fact Check. The Annenberg Political Fact check is an arm of the Annenberg Public Policy Center, as is the Chicago Annenberg Challenge, which gave Barack Obama his first big-boy job, back in the ‘90s, at the urging of William Ayers, Unrepentent Terrorist.

In many ways, Senator Obama owes all his subsequent success to the contacts he made and favors he was able to grant as Chairman of the Chicago Annenberg Challenge. It would not be at all unfair to call Barack Obama “The Senator from Annenberg”.

So, is there any particular reason we should believe the Annenberg Political Fact Check in matters to do with “The Senator from Annenberg”?

Shouldn’t palling around with terrorists make him ineligible for the presidency? Wasn’t there something in the Patriot Act that should get him sent to Guantanamo for those associations?

Why, yes it does. Buraq Hussein Obama is a not a natural born U.S. citizen as required by the US Constitution.

The reason is simple, having allegiance to two countries was deemed disqualifying for being elected President. You might favor the people of Kenya over the people who elected you to serve their country — Imagine that.

I was born in England to American parents, and held dual citizenship until my formal oath of citizenship before a judge at age 18. The FACT of that oath is attested by the Certificate Of Citizenship issued to me at that time. It indicates that my citizenship is derivative from my parents, which does make me “natural-born” - and thus better qualified to be President than Obama.
