I’m aware of the Indonesian angle, which further complicates the issue. Interesting that Obama and the DNC have chosen to fight the Berg lawsuit rather than simply provide the documents to prove his status as a “natural born citizen”. (Apparently, because he can’t).

Exactly. They can’t. That’s why this story was planted and they allowed a sufficient amount of time to pass, then FactCheck steps in and provides the “spin”.

See? It was all just a simple misunderstanding. /sarc

I think it’s odd, too; he could theoretically put an end to all this by simply presenting this document. So obviously there’s a problem with it.

As for people saying there’d be a “paper trail” if he had been born in Kenya and brought back to the US by his mother, there probably wouldn’t have been much of anything for an infant at that time. She was clearly a citizen, and this was well before the time of concern about terrorist infiltration, etc. Small children travelled on their parent’s passport and were usually not even registered by the airlines as passengers.
