No, this is a very BAD idea.
A Con-Con is very dangerous to the Republic, considering that such a convention would be loaded to the gills with leftists, communists, socialists, community organizers, ACLU lawyers, feminists, homosexuals, gun-grabbers, and every other stripe of perversion known to mankind.
The conservatives, if there indeed are any such people, would be so outnumbered as to be practically non-existant.
Note this: if you ever allow that to happen, our poor former Constitution would emerge so cut up you would not recognize it.
Let's hear no more of a Constitutional Convention EVER!
I can see the Supreme Court ruling that Amendment XXV comes into play, even though it would eventuate due to a man initially not meeting the Constitutional requirement, because the Electors vote a separate ballot for Vice-President.
Excellent points but I will stay with my coffee, thank you.
As a Briton who has lived in the United States for three years, I now find myself eligible for citizenship, which involves passing a test on the US Constitution.
By the way, good luck on your upcoming test.
