Candidate: Banking committee should be jailed By Jordy Yager Posted: 10/17/08 12:51 PM [ET] McLean, Va. – Republican congressional candidate Keith Fimian called for members of the House Financial Services Committee and the Senate Banking Committee to be imprisoned for their role in the country’s current economic crisis.

“We can’t even govern our way out of a situation like this without larding up the bill. It’s tragic,” said Fimian. “There should be people indicted and imprisoned that are on the Senate and House banking committees.”

Fimian’s comments were made in a debate against Democrat Gerry Connolly, chairman of the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors. They're vying for Rep. Tom Davis’s (R) seat in Virginia's 11th district.

I believe that as long as said congresscritter has not committed an actual crime, that they cannot be legally held responsible for stupidity while in office.

With respect to Barny Frank, I don’t think that he necessarily committed a crime, but he is derelict in his responsibility.

Chris Dodd on the other hand, I believe has committed a prosecutable crime in accepting preferential consideration from a business under his oversight.

Candidate: Banking committee should be jailed

Only after we indict, try and convict them.

Oh, just make sure Paulson, Bwaney Fwank, Senator Dodd, Franklin
Raines, Jim Johnson, and all their unindicted co-conspirators
in The House, Senate and the Fourth Estate (journalism) and
The Fifth Estate ("community organizers"/"advocacy groups" like
ACORN...
are also duely indicted, tried, convicted and sent to The Big House.

But...we know that will NEVER happen under President Obama.

OOPS...I forgot to add Jamie Gorelick to the list above!!!

Those were campaign contributions. Barney didn't get a sweetheart loan deal like Chris Dodd. Where those couple of points off the loan nut directly benefited Dodd.

yes, Barney's campaign contributions benefited him too, but indirectly. Dodd's deal was a straight line cash payoff. Say you borrow $500,000 at 3 points below prime for 30 years, like Dodd. At 5-3/4 percent the monthly nut is $2792.06 At 2-3/4 percent the monthly nut is $2041.20 moreover look at it like this: the rate gave Dodd access to $150K up front, and then not having to actually pay it back. 350K at 5-3/4 for 30 years = $2042.50

All this will NEVER stop UNTIL a gang gallows is set up on the White Lawn with 24/7 processing.. for months.. It would take months for the message to get through to the Moonbats.. That treason and espionage was legal NO MORE..

Treason and espionage has become defacto legal..

Oops! I forgot to include Dodd in this business, too. IMHO, we should clean out both Houses and start over! The bunch in there now have stolen enough.....
