Biden: Voters "having a difficult time" electing first African American president
abcnews.com ^ | 10/19/08 | Matthew Jaffe

ABC News' Matthew Jaffe Reports: As Election Day looms just over two weeks away, Sen. Joe Biden, D-Del., said Saturday that with Republicans firing "vicious" and "dangerous" attacks at Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., voters are "having a difficult time" opting for the man who would become the nation's first African American president.

"Undecided people are having a difficult time just culturally making the change, making the move for the first African American president in the history of the United States of America," the Democratic vice-presidential nominee said at a San Francisco fundraiser Saturday evening. "So we need to respond. We need to respond at the moment, immediately, not wait, not hang around, not assume any of this won't stick."

"You see these vicious attacks on Barack's character," Biden told supporters. "I mean, this is dangerous stuff these guys are doing. This stuff is on the edge. It's on the edge. You know, there's some folks out there in the community nationwide that aren't as stable as others. It's a very small minority. But having these rallies where people are showing up saying, you know, the things they're saying - I don't even want to repeat them -- it's not a healthy thing."

Okay folks...or as Obama likes to say, "white folks"...Joe Biden has just kicked off the official Obama campaign's two-pronged theme for the final two weeks:

1) Anyone still unsure about Obama is only struggling with racial prejudice

2) McCain/Palin are guilty of stoking the flames of white racists and are responsible for creating a "dangerous" situation. (Implication - Obama better not lose) Next up - expect the "n" word to be reportedly shouted out at a McCain/Palin rally.

This makes me SICK!
I didn’t vote for Gore.
I didn’t vote for Kerry.
I’m not voting for Obama.
Does that make me racist?

What kind of front runner strategy is this?

I’ starting to wonder to wonder if their internals are looking real bad...can always hope!

AHHHHHHH! No, I would elect Snoop-Dog before Obama, because I know he is an American, a capitalist, and a believer in free speech. Plus, at least Snoop-Dog admits he still smokes weed.

But I thought this race was over? I thought Pelosi said there was 100% certainty OStalin was gonna win? What’s all this “difficult time” stuff? Hasn’t he read the inevitabilty report??

These Dems must know it’s far from over yet.

They know they’re in deep doo doo if Obama isn’t over 50% by election day. The pattern from the contested primaries was all the undecided would go to Hillary...

Playing the old race card where it doesn’t apply is what is dangerous, Dear Joe.

Not to mention all of the things Barack Obama did - that is dangerous. Launching his political career in the home of an unrepetent domestic terrorist doesn’t exactly give me confidence in him, and his skin color is irrelevant to the fact he did that.

The nerve — from the very people who have not only trashed Sarah Palin, but now Joe the Plumber.

I hope their internals are collapsing.

No Joe, voters are having a "difficult time" voting for a radical leftist to be the next President. But alas, there are tens of millions who have no qualms at all about voting for such a candidate. Skin color has nothing to do with it.

Biden's plan is evidently to shame the center into voting for B-HO by insinuating that those who don't are racists. Not going to work, Joe. In fact, it'll have the exact opposite effect.

Yup, but we still have private ballots and I KNOW that a LOT of dems leaning bambi will be scared away by this and vote mac. Its going to be a big shocker for the Stalinists on Nov 4.

Also, keep in mind that on election day the exit polling will be worse than in 04. Very few are going to public admit they voted for mac instead of the dipshi*t, look for a very early call for dippy on the 4th and watch it slide into oblivion as the evening goes on and Mac wins. Oh what a night of celebration that will be.

I would vote for Allen West for President in a heartbeat! It isn’t about skin color! They just don’t get it! Let me spell it out for them-If democrats would stop putting baby killing, tax hiking, capitalist killing socialists on the top of the ticket, I would vote for them!

I wouldn’t have such a difficult time voting for someone like J.C. Watts.

I DO have a difficult time voting for a socialist, liberal, radical, racist, crypto-marxist inexperienced liar with numerous shady connections.

It has nothing to do with race whatsoever. It has everything to do with character and fitness for the job.
