You can’t “hold schools accountable” for what the KIDS are doing. Those kids are not dropping out because school is any more tedious than it ever was. They’re dropping out because they’ve found that they can already get whatever they want without working for it, so why should they finish school?
Possible reasons:
1) Schools are not for boys
2) No male teachers
3) Illegal aliens
4) Teaching godlessness
6) Teaching liberal lies
7) Too much sex
8) Mean girls
9) Drugs
10) Gangs
OTOH, some kids are dropping out because HS is so stupid and they are smart enough to realize they can go ahead and get going on their life.
We know one boy who felt that way. He dropped out, took his GED, enrolled in community college and got started working in a career he wanted. He is doing very well and will probably own a business before too long.
He was bored to tears with HS and felt it was simply busy work. He was far to motivated to sit there until they said it was time to graduate.
