CARACAS (Reuters) - Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez, renowned for colorful insults of world leaders, called U.S. vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin a confused "beauty queen" on Friday after she said he was a dictator.
Chavez, a leftist who often mocks U.S. President George W. Bush, invoked the advice of Jesus Christ on how to handle the slights by Palin, the Republican governor of Alaska and a former beauty pageant winner.
"I saw the vice presidential candidate, there she was talking about 'the dictator Hugo Chavez.' The poor thing, you just feel sorry for her," he said during a televised broadcast.
"She's a beauty queen that they've pulled out to be a figurehead. We need to say as Christ did: Forgive her, she knows not what she's saying."

Governor Palin has an excellent opportunity with this one, given that a recent article just pointed out that despite having huge reserves of oil, the SOCIALISM Chavez rules with has produced an energy shortage!!! They have rolling blackouts there today, among other disasters. She could point out that Chavez’s Venezuela today is what Obama wants to foster for us here tomorrow.
Oh, such insight from a crack smoking tin pot dictator who’s not even fit to breath the same air as Gov. Palin. And if the Secret Service has anything to say about it; would/should never get close enough to do so.
I doubt many Americans are going to be impressed by the insults of a vicious little dictator who invokes the name of Jesus Christ to make a political insult against a lady many Americans respect, even if they don't agree with all of her political beliefs. Palin just looks better and better.

Chavez is running his country’s economy into the ground. He should be more concerned about the fall-out his left-wing policies will have on the people of Venezuela than worry about Palin. P!ss on Chavez.
I wonder if Hugo is available for a quick speaking tour of the swing states. He would be a powerful advocate for Obama. Think of the crowds of Demcrats who would come out for him.
