It is my understanding that Obama did NOT provide a Birth Certificate, but rather a Certificate of Live Birth, which is nOT the same and does not qualify as a Birth Certificate.

The only document that the State of Hawaii issues as proof of citizenship is the Certification of Live Birth which says on the bottom of the document: “This copy serves as prima facie evidence of the fact of birth in any court proceeding.”
The Hawaii Certification of Live Birth is used by Hawaii residents to obtain a passport or a Social Security card.
