I think that the reason she said that is because of
1) Obama saying that small-town Pennsylvanians are bitter, clinging to God and guns, and
2) Murtha saying that western Pennsylvanians are racists, and then rednecks.
That's true, but realize that they are playing an intimidation game: call people names and guilt trip them into doubts about not voting for the Mambo Messiah.
