Abortion Survivor Jessen Releases Second Ad Criticizing Obama on Infanticide

Washington, DC (LifeNews.com) -- A woman who is a rarity -- having survived a failed abortion procedure -- has released a second television ad criticizing Barack Obama. Gianna Jessen responds to Obama's response to her first ad in which he called her "sleazy" for promoting a "despicable lie."

The original ad features Jessen, a young woman who survived a failed saline abortion in the late 1970s, as she chides Obama for voting repeatedly against bills in the Illinois legislature to stop infanticide.

The ad recalls Obama's votes against the Born Alive Infants Protection Act and pointed out how even abortion advocates like Hillary Clinton and John Kerry voted for a similar bill on the federal level.

Obama responded with his own ad that nonpartisan analysis from two fact checking groups called inaccurate.

The new Jessen ad addresses Obama’s attacks and says that she has, in fact, dealt with worse: she survived an abortion.

“Seen this ad? In it, Senator Obama personally attacks me," Jessen says, according to a script provided to LifeNews.com. "I’ve dealt with worse; I survived an abortion."

The ad goes on to convey the information about Obama's votes against the anti-infanticide bills.

"State Senator Barack Obama voted 4 times against laws to protect babies who survive abortions," it explains. "Meanwhile, U.S. Senators voted 98-0 for Born Alive Infant Protections."

"Senator Obama says deciding when babies get human rights is above his pay grade. Tell him abortion survivors deserve legal protections too," it concludes.

The new Jessen ad will air in Cleveland, Ohio -- home to a sizable number of pro-life voters who frequently support Democratic candidates. It will also appear on the Drudge Report. The first ad, sponsored by BornAliveTruth.org will also air on Colorado radio stations and the total ad buy for both radio and TV will be close to $600,000.

Meanwhile, Focus on the Family has dedicated $500,000 to airing the original ad in Colorado, one of the top battleground states.

Obama’s response spot to the original Gianna ad was filled with false and misleading distortions about Gianna Jessen and Obama’s own voting record against born alive infant protections, says Jill Stanek, the nurse who exposed the practice of letting babies who were born alive after abortions die.

“Senator Obama had the audacity to go after Gianna Jessen, born alive after a failed abortion, and call her and the ad she appeared in ‘a despicable lie,’” Stanek told LifeNews.com. “We want to make sure voters are aware of Barack Obama’s extreme stance on abortion and that he voted four times, while an Illinois State Senator, to deny medical care to infants born alive after abortions.”

“Senator Obama had several chances to close that loophole in Illinois law and give babies, like Gianna, the necessary medical care they need to survive after a failed abortion,” said Stanek. “But he didn’t do it - in fact, he voted against bills to close the loophole. Four times he voted against giving infants who survive abortions their basic human rights.”

And THAT is way above Obama's pay grade.

all human rights are above his paygrade. He encourages genocide of his race (at least the race he identifies with), embryos, and God knows what or who else...Every one who listens to this man better remember, the attack on human life will be carried to the next level, ie Teri Schiavo, Assisted suicide, unfitness to live because of handicap, draining the system due to old age and infirmity which is where I believe Obama will go next. Would sure help solve the insolvent Social Security dilemma wouldn’t it?

Awesome ad. Only Obama would try to defend his most heinous decisions. A real man would say, “I made a mistake.” Congratulations to Gianna for standing up for our most innocent victims. God bless her.

Miss Jessen is a fine lady and one tough broad, in the finest sense of the word. She’s a great role model.

I just heard that a woman in our church named her baby “Gianna” because she was so blown away by this woman’s story.

Share this 3-minute beautifully moving video with any Christians you know who are still considering voting for Obama. Although it’s produced by and targeted to Catholics (many of the ideas are straight from Catholic moral theology), any person with good values will be touched by it:

(Forgive me if this has been posted, but we are getting really close and I feel I can’t get it out there in too many places.)

all human rights are above his paygrade.

Have you listened to this? If not, listen to a cold, cold plan to kill 25 million people by Ob's friend Ayers' group The Weatherman.
