The MSM has been giving Palin such a hard time on her wardrobe purchases, I thought it was eye opening to see what MO spent on ONE outfit (the total of which is my entire household wardrobe budget for a year). Maybe no one cares, but as a mom who budgets, I thought it was interesting.
Who knows, they practically had her in the witness protection program for about a month.
What happened to all Michelle’s designer outfits that were discussed in the two page spread in a magazine earlier this year? I think it was US magazine, but I think they have also discussed this in the WSJ, Vanity Fair, etc. Of course that was during the primaries long before Governor Palin came on the scene.
One of the designers was a Chicago designer, Maria something or other if I remember correctly. I think the last name started with a P, but since I have never been able to afford designer duds, I didn’t pay much attention. I might add that I never paid even as much as her Banana Yellow outfit either!
My family shops at retail stores like Target, Marshalls, J.C. Penny, and then usually only buy clothes off the sale racks. We also hit the resale shops like Sarah Palin. I have two teenage daughters and they are both well dressed and have closets full of cute clothes, as do I, but we sure wouldn’t with those prices.
Boy, did she! And that cost doesn’t include the fugly brooch that in no way matched the outfit. When she left after talking with Jay, I noticed the outfit looked as if she’d been on a plane for 10 hours, instead of sitting in a chair for 10 minutes.
Our local weekly the Nashville Scene did an article two months ago about Michelle Obama’s couture fashion buys and instincts
my rightist wife who is a Jemima Khan fashion maven wannabe rebuked the writer in a flurry of emails back and forth
when this bullshite surfaced this week, my wife went to look for the story and the Village Voice Scene had purged it
Michelle Obama has plenty of high dollar clothes
