Falsely attesting or being attested for is registration fraud and is a class D felony, punishable by a fine of up to $7,500 and five years in prison. Registration fraud also includes falsely registering to vote, attempting to falsely register to vote and registering to vote in more than one precinct.
Emmet County Auditor Bev Juhl said any poll worker, poll watcher or member of the public can challenge a voter's qualifications to vote at the polls. The voter who is challenged can still file a provisional ballot and has until 2 p.m. Thursday the week of the election to prove his or her qualifications to vote to the special precinct board. A birth certificate showing a birth place in the United States or naturalization papers are considered proof of citizenship.
Geeze! A birth certificate is need to vote, but Obama can run for president without one. ( Go figure!)
Berg and Corsi should be there when Obama votes and challenge him, they'll have standing in court.
Good point, though it’ll have to be in Illinios where Wright, Ayers, Dohrn, and Rezko vote
The penalties have always been harsh. The enforcement, however, has been non-existent.
That’s no obstacle. Both men travel (Corsi just got back from Kenya) and they could hire a couple of rent-a-cops to go with them. They could call the Enquirer beforehand, make it a media party.
Sure it looks good on paper, but I suppose actually being charged and or convicted is about 1 in 1 million.
Wow. Haven’t heard anyone say this, but whoever the Republican poll watcher is where Obama goes to vote on Tuesday should challenge his vote! Challenge that he is not a citizen - we’ll have to see what Illinois law is for proving citizenship. But wouldn’t it be hilarious for him to have to file a provisional ballot for himself because he couldn’t prove his citizenship on demand... LOL... i’ll have happy dreams tonight... LOLOLOL
ACORNS have nothing to fear, they can hide under the Ooops, how did that happen clause.

I suspect the Republican tactic here will be to identify the judges or DA’s who don’t prosecute, and target them for their next election. Simple ad’s in newspapers about how they threaten democracy...will radically reshape the mind of local voters and end up tossing them out. You will see a fair amount of small-town political players who don’t get another chance in their trade.
No better example would be he 13 Obama staffers - lawyers to boot - that went to Ohio and registered to vote - one did vote - but instead of prosecuting, they were allowed to “withdraw” their registrations and the vote.
What a clear cut case of KNOWING fraud. What a perfect bunch to publicly and loudly prosecute.
That would put fear into others who are ready, set and intend to vote fraudulently...
“A birth certificate showing a birth place in the United States or naturalization papers are considered proof of citizenship.”
SO???
It doesn’t show the legal residency at this time in the state the are voting in
Reading post 3 will bring you up to date on that matter.
DEMAND: Prosecute There, Prosecute Now!
Glad to see they are giving fair warning to their "residents."
Let’s return the Acorns to an oak tree and secure them there with a rope around their necks!
You must be super board to waste your time with this snide post. At the time that I started to post my reply, pst 3 was not there or i glanced over it, saw the names and moved on. Either way, you must be so frustrated with life to stop and post a message back to me on such a tidious issue. I’m thinking Cubs fan....
I suspect most states have laws prohibiting voter fraud and the like just as most states have prohibiting perjury - two classes of crime that strike at the base of democracy. Yet these crimes are rarely prosecuted. If prosecuted, the defendantss are even more rarely found guilty. If found guilty, those convicted even more rarely are sentenced to prison. So for a society which susposedly places democracy above most other values, our actions betray our values.
