To be fair, he did not say he would bankrupt the coal industry. He said he would bankrupt the coal-fired power industry.

Also, please e-mail this story to anyone you know who works at an energy company or any company which is associated with coal plants or mining. If we can make it known that Obama wants to bankrupt an industry which provides hundreds of thousands of jobs and most of our electricity, he will lose.

They ran ads during the primaries and if they learn of this story they may be able to put together an ad quickly. At the very least they, as well as energy companies, have the resources to get this story out to the media.
