Now is the time to make the only REAL and lasting difference through prayer.

Prayer can make a difference. Fear, worry and angst do not and are the tools of the enemy.

I'll lead the way -- Please add your prayers!!

Heavenly Father, please forgive our country for the many times we have turned our backs to You and have chosen our own way. Return to us, Oh Lord. Forgive our manifest shortcomings and welcome us back into your fold. Be with our Country as we approach election day and cast this truly momentus vote.

Whatever the result, Lord, keep our eyes and throughts focused on your will and strengthen us to stand in the breach to defend your Church and our love for you.

Forgive our enemies and soften their hardened hearts. Lift the cloud of Satan from their eyes so that they may see the Truth.

Deliver the voters in this nation from the blindness that has covered them. Open their eyes that they may see the real danger that an Obama presidency would generate, and TURN US, Gracious Lord, to You and Your heart. Father, we come against the lies and deceit of the enemy. Give the voters discerning hearts. Cause the one who mocks you to fall out of favor with the American people. Humble him, Father, and let him not be rewarded with any victories except the only one that counts---his submission to You as Lord. Send forth Your Spirit to blanket this nation with new revelations of Your truth, and rescue Your people from the brink of disaster. Holy God, for the sake of those who call You Lord---for the sake of the unborn---for the sake of our children and our children's children, deliver us from the one who refuses to honor You as Creator. Also praying that the Lord, the Mighty One of Israel, will continue to bless and protect that little bitty speck of democracy, the only one in the Middle East.

Also praying for Sen. McCain and Gov. Palin to have favor with voters, victory, and for the angels to watch over them every step of the way. May the Lord also bless and protect their families, especially the Palin kids.

I am all for the prayers, and I am doing lots of praying myself. However, please let me be a little nitpicking about one statement you make. It is not “all over but the shouting.” Lots and lots of votes need to be cast. Lots of phone calls need to be made, lots of door-to-door visits need to be made, and other things need to be done.

Pray and pray again, but be sure to vote and do whatever else you can. This great nation needs lots of efforts from us all.
